Dear Bob and Brad, first of all thank you for your videos, they are incredibly helpful! Me myself I am a university student of 24y old and I've struggling a lot with neck and upper/middle back pain for the last 3 years since I took an injury on the construction site. In all your videos regarding back/neck pain you guys really underline the importance of good posture, and as much as I try to pay attention as a student I often have to write a lot (especially during the examination periods) and having that bend over posture really sets my upper traps on fire and completely limits my neck mobility. I was hoping that maybe you guys could make a short video in the near future where you guys explain good for writing, good stretches for inbetween breaks, and maybe even stretches to increase mobility for looking left/right over the shoulder. I would be very grateful to you guys! Kind regards, Pelle

TY😊 I will do these exercises have always had a job and grandkids that lived here to keep me active but had a few accidents since my daughter and her family moved out ,was hot from behind was off work for 3 months then laid off , in my late 50's then tripped over some roots while hiking with my family and sprained both ankles, my shoes actually ripped absent me flying so had to stay down. then COVID hit and got more sedentary and it seems my left side is not as strong , so these should help build it back up TY 😊

About the squats: I go to CrossFit, which has lots of hip-centred movements including squats. The coaches there stress something that was absent from Mike’s instructions…very important to “lead with the butt”, ie 1st stick the butt out, THEN move into squat. Otherwise, you end up doing a knee dip.
@sharosmith11 ай бұрын
I used to teach aerobics, I always used the analogy of squat as you would on a public toilet. Most people go down too far (bad for your knees) as you come up from the squat, squeeze your glutes (butt muscles)

I have seen comments from both people doing body building exercises and with other physical conditions., such as arthritis. In both cases, check with your own health team on whether these exercises are right for you. Those of you at a high physical level should consider what happens if you injure yourself and need to restart with with lower intensity exercises. For those with arthritis, this channel has plenty of videos on arthritis. And my PT has me doing some of these exercises at a lower level already. He tells me to go slow and steady, listen to my body, and think safety first. I have confirmed osteoarthritis in both hips and suspected arthritis in my shoulders, fingers & knees.

Recently discovered your channel and love it, but I have a problem doing many of the exercises. As a result of a car accident, I can only bend my left leg 45 degrees at most. My feet were crushed and my right foot and ankle are held together with 9 pins/screws. My left has three plates and many screws. My feet and ankles just have very little flexibility so any exercise that bends the feet or ankles much doesn't work for me. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you for your work.

The exercises they demonstrated here are very practical for this, especially the squat. This will help build muscle in your legs and glutes. Consistency is key ... follow their recommendation of 3 times a week and in 60 to 90 days you'll be amazed at your progress. If it's safe for you, also practice getting down on the floor and back up again. Stay strong ❤
