Love Brad's incline device! I hike a bit and got 7 inches on the right and 6.5 on left. After an extreme Plantar Fasciitis diagnosis many years ago, I found an exercise* where you put the front of your foot on a rolled up towel or yoga mat and the heel is on the floor, then bring opposite leg beside the towel to stretch the inclined calf. Over time, move that opposite leg forward an inch at a time to deepen the stretch of the inclined foot. Repeat with other foot. To maintain flexibility, do 2-3 X a week. *one of Katy Bowman's books or videos

I appreciate your help in passing along this very useful exercise. Some individuals can’t get down to the floor (or back up) in order to do the regularly recommended type of calf stretches. What you’ve recorded here is truly a great benefit for those people who’ve been limited in their capabilities. Thank you!!!

I got a total ankle replacement Not ready to do those exercises yet, but was interesting to watch, I am doing physical therapy 2 times a week

Great video. I have had a total ankle replacement in my right ankle and the flexibility is no where near as good as my left ankle. I believe I am fighting scar tissue, which makes it feel like steel bands resisting flexibility. So I am going to try and do your exercises to help increase flexibility on my right ankle. My TAR was over six months ago so the healing is over, now it’s a matter of increasing flexibility.

It's nice to see someone with a classic high arch showing exercises and talking about problems that are common with that kind of foot type. It would be nice if you could have an episode or two that focus on the issues/problems associated with that type of foot.

Before you do that test to check your ankle and calve mobility you should warm your ankles and calves up first. Doing that test cold is a bad idea.

At 3" with my ankles. I know they are tight and it is a problem. Will try these exercises. Also my calves are tight and I need to get a foam roller to do that.

Years back, I had a PT tell me I had the least mobile ankles they had ever tried to manipulate. I also had PT as a kid due to not having development of the muscles behind my knees for springing type action, unfortunately, they never did develop. My son was born with this same issue. We both have painful, crackly knees which started being a problem in our late teens. And one of us was in sports and very active throughout childhood, the other was not but both our knees crackle audibly and hurt.

I have burning stabbing pain in my left ankle and muscle spasms in my feet. I went to a specialist and he put me on Prednisone steroid for a week. The paper work side effects are terrible. How can that medication help it. I have had the pain since an injury in 2018. I did 2 rounds of pool therapy that had me crying from pain. X-rays don't show anything broken. I am thinking tendons. What to do Bob and Brad? Help

I have the same. I can't even feel or bend my toes on my right foot. Docs say scoliosis I say no something is wrong. This happened after I slipped down a hil.

@@chandraanjelica5608 l think they say what they want to pump us with meds that are deadly. I ask for pool a therapy again. Hot pool. Try hot bath and trying to move it. My pain has not gone away since 2018.prayers out to you.

Forget cookies and pie crust. A rolling pin works great! Need something a bit softer? Wrap it in a towel.
@flickeringcandle3 жыл бұрын
How is this about tight ankles?
@Courage10.183 жыл бұрын
@@flickeringcandle did you watch the video? Loose calf muscles are needed for ankle mobility. A rolling pin is an excellent substitute tool for a foam roller. Especially for those with upper body mobility issues (MS, stroke survivor, etc) who cannot lift and balance on a roller
