It's a shame that Bobby Bonilla is only known for his contract ! What about his 287 career Homeruns, 2,010 , career Hits , what about the World Series Championship with the Marlins in 1997 ! How about the fact he was runner up MVP behind teammate Barry Bonds as a Pirate in 1990.. Top 20 best switch hitter all time.. It's not Bobby's fault when he came to the Mets in 1992 he was the only one in the lineup that was a power threat ! .. How about the fact that he was also a 6 x All Star ! .. It's not fair that Bonilla is only known for his deferred payments contract with the Mets that was just a smart deal made by a very smart agent Dennis Gilbert ! Don't hate the player Hate the Game ! .. And if Scott Rolen is a Hall of Famer you have to make Bobby Bonilla a Hall of Famer !

Failed to mention that Bobby Bonilla won a WORLD SERIES in 1997 with the Florida Marlins and played a pivotal role on that team as he reunited with his old Pirates Manager Jim Leyland. They always leave that out just to make him out to be such a bad guy lol. You should praise Bobby for this not condem him because this is beyond smart.
