Hidden treasure? Yeah, I bet he had a 'key' [kilo] all right", thought the Raccoon ... 3:02 This knight move also stops ... Rc6+, and White should be able to get the rook with 2. Kd4, and if 2. ... Rc6, 3. Qf7+ allows White to safely capture the rook currently on e5. (Later) I didn't see all of the variations, but still got the right idea. 4:50 An epaulette mate! 6:36 It would have been funny if Bobby had asked "What's a chess rating?" at this point ...

Might have guessed the right answer and not shown it but Peter was wrong.

EZ puzzle, sucks to see Bobby struggle so hard. Golden ticket won unfairly by the caterpillar, magic key stolen by the botanist - looks like Bobby will never have enough treasure to get off the island. That's a good thing though, I want this series to go on as long as possible!

ah i was wondering when the fishermen would encounter another enemy. by my memory their enemies have been the bandit and the caterpillar. i dont think pawnpusher or the eagle, or the whale were enemies per se, just challenging them. itd be interesting if bobby got stuck in patzer prison and the others had to rescue him. that was a twist i didnt see coming, probably my favorite episode so far

Oh no to Bobby, he was tricked by the botanist! The botanist is looking for a magical key. That's why he gave him the poisoned blue apple to confuse Bobby and lose his puzzle rating by a lot! What a turn of events! I believe it's like Average Joe stayed the same but Peter Patzer and Bobby Fischerman switched their roles in this story. Wow!!! What a beauty!!

Predictions: Episode 31: the giant vs Peter patzer and average Joe . Average Joe and Peter patzer managed to break out of the barrel only to see a giant. The giant wanted to eat them but Peter Patzer says he’ll play chess with him. If he beats the giant, they’ll escape. The giant says yes and says his rating is 4500. Peter patzer felt a bit nervous but the giant said average Joe and also play with him. They manage to beat the giant and the giant sent them to the lost ruins Episode 32: Gothamchess chess puzzle. The raccoon took Bobby Fischerman to see Gothamchess. The raccoon told the story about Bobby and Gothamchess offered to teach him. After a few hours Bobby fischerman’s Elo was now 1500. Then Gothamchess gave him a puzzle to see if his rating really increased. Bobby Fischerman then goes to the lost ruins Episode 33: The princes chess puzzle. Average Joe and Peter Patzer tries to enter a castle where a Prince stops them. But Bobby Fischerman enters through the other side where he sees his friends. The Prince then orders guards to come. Each guard chess Elo is 1000. So two guards gave Bobby Fischerman a 1500 rated puzzle and 5 guards give both average Joe and Peter patzer their chess puzzle. But all three of them manage to solve their puzzles and leave the castle. Episode 34: The explorer’s chess puzzle. All three friends meet up again and go to the abandoned village. Where an explorer stops them. The explorer says they can’t go through the village unless they solve his puzzle. The three fishermen were ready to solve it until the explorer says only Average Joe can solve it. Peter patzer was scared since he failed to solve one before. So he passes notes to Joe while he is solving it until the explorer catches Peter patzer. He was furious and locks them in a cage on top of the black lagoon. He then pushes a button to lower the cage in the water. Episode 35: the Angel’s chess puzzle. While the cage is being lowered, an angel comes and says she can give them a key to open the cage. This is around the same time when the explorer stops the lowering to get lunch. The angel says he will return in 5 minutes so they have to be fast to solve the puzzle. The fishermen agree and the angel gives them their puzzle, Unfortunately only Peter Patzer could solve it and it was a 4000 rated puzzle. But still Peter managed to solve it and the break out of the cage. The explorer then sees them and the fishermen start running. Episode 36: the Family’s chess puzzle. The fishermen ran until they arrived to Lumina park. They thought they lost the explorer and went inside the park. While they were inside, they saw a family trying to solve a 4500 rated puzzle to win a plushie. The three fishermen offered to solve the puzzle where they won the plushie and gave it to them. The family felt super grateful and gave them a ticket to the dragons lair. They said they saw a caterpillar running when he dropped it. The fishermen thanked them and headed toward the clay canyon to enter the dragons lair. Episode 37: the sand monster’s chess puzzle. As the fishermen were heading to the clay canyon the accidentally went to the endless desert. They walked for an Hour straight but found no exit. Then a sand monster rose from the ground and said he’ll teleport them into the clay canyon. The sand monster then said if only Bobby fischerman and average Joe solved his puzzle, they’ll escape, and this was a 3500 rated puzzle. But unfortunately they failed to solve it and the sand monster grabbed them, and threw them to the random cruise ship. Episode 38: the captains chess puzzle. The captain on the random cruise ship found the fishermen floating in the ocean where he pulled them up. The fishermen thanked the captain but didn’t know where they were. The captain said he was the captain of the cruise ship and he’ll take them to the ancient libraries where there was a magical book in a chest that needed a key to unlock. The captain said anyone that read the book, they will get 3000 more Elo. The fishermen agreed and the captain said they’ll have to solve all his crew members chess puzzle, which were 10 of them. But the fishermen solved them and went to the ancient libraries. Episode 39: the Fishermen Vs the Librarian. The fishermen entered the library where they found an evil Librarian , the librarian said she will not give them the chest unless they beat her. The fishermen agreed but since the librarian read so many books, her rating was 6000. But the fishermen beat her and she she gave them the chest. Bobby fisherman realized he still had the key and used it on the chest, where it actually worked and the knight was lying. They read the book and all their ratings increased by 3000. Know Joe’s rating was 4400, Bobby’s was 4500, and peter’s was 6500. They felt ready to take on more puzzles and skipped the endless desert to go to the clay canyon. Episode 40: the village’s chess puzzle. The fishermen managed to get to the clay canyon. Where all the people living in the clay canyon were furious that their ratings were high. Bobby said they needed to enter the dragon’s lair where all the villagers said they’ll have to solve a chess puzzle, but Peter patzer felt confident until a villager said all their elos were 1800 and they’ll work together to create a puzzle. But the fishermen managed to solve it and move on. Episode 41: The dragon vs the fishermen and the angel. The fishermen were ready to redeem the ticket for the gold. But the dragon said “NOT SO FAST, YOU HAVE TO BEAT ME IN CHESS” Then he said his rating was 50,000 which the fishermen thought was impossible to beat him. But then the angel from episode 35 comes to help them. The game lasted 90 moves until the dragon resigned because checkmate was unstoppable. Then he finally gives them their gold, And the fishermen were excited to leave Episode 42: The chess monster vs the fishermen. While the fishermen were heading to the pirate harbor, the accidentally went to the sunken ship instead. Average Joe knew something wasn’t right when the chess monster appeared. He said he was an abomination of all the greatest chess players in history and the present. And he said to them the fishermen weren’t leaving the area and put lasers everywhere. But the fishermen said if they beat him in chess they can leave, so the monster agreed but got destroyed, and the fishermen were let go. Episode 43: The iceberg’s chess puzzle. The Fishermen got on the ship and we’re headed back. Until a Iceberg appeared and the ship was gonna hit it. Everyone on the ship thought it was the titanic all over again until the iceberg said if they solved its puzzle it will not hit the ship. The fishermen agreed to solve it but the iceberg said they have to eat the magic berries to begin. The fishermen ate them but their ratings got reset when they first arrived to puzzle island. Then the iceberg gave them a 3000 rated puzzle but the fishermen solved it and they managed to make it home.

I believe the botanist and the chef are the same person and are trying to help them off the island, and I believe the real way off lies in blue things, as both the apple, the berries, and the dragon tear are all blue, also remember how bobby used to be the worst and peter used to be the best?

What happens if Black doesn't capture the knight, though?

I saw this position quite differently. The risk to white is not the taking of the knight. The risk is rook to c6#, forcing the white king to move. Now black can take the white queen and if white king captures the rook, the white knight can be captured, leaving white with only a king against a king and a rook. If the king does not capture the rook, the white knight can move away, leaving black with two rooks against a knight. You did show a solution to this problem, but I think you failed to identify the greater threat to white.
