Hey thank you buddy! He was so special! Did you happen to hear ebb tide? He was an amazing guy. Also I think he was the funniest guy I ever met. Also a great artist, we were so bummed he drew a lot of pics we had in a suitcase we checked a while ago and the were all eaten by spiders. So much talent! Thanks again Chet!

@@edjohnson465 Yes...listened to ebb tide as well. beautiful. But I must say, his version of Unchained Melody on that TV show sits ALONE in my opinion as THE most stunning vocal of a love song I've ever heard. Wishes ur way for a great 2021!!

@@edjohnson465 Ebb Tide was on of his finest. After I heard Bobby's version, none other existed. Thank you for this, as far as I'm concerned, there are only a few I would put in his category, and Bobby is at the very top. And your harmonies were great! Seeing "Unchained Melody" on Andy's show in 65 was something I had never forgotten. Thanks again!

@@edjohnson465 Hi Ed, there were phenomenal singers like Bobby during his era, but his velvety-angelic voice is totally captivating ❤️❤️ in addition to his vocal mastery. As someone had said, you don't just listen to him, you feel him!! In some of his other videos, he was just hilarious 😆 Love his sense of humour. Certainly didn't show that he had stage fright. BH was definitely one of a kind! RIP 😞

Hi Abby, thanks so much. My twin brother and I put together a concert with Bobby Hatfield in 1979. We met him when he came into our gig in Newport Beach and asked us to perform at his wedding. This was one of the rehearsals we had. As Bobby Hatfield would say "this is a batch of bitchen oldies".

Bob and Ed The Johnson Twins - What a special story. Love the vocals and I’m a guitar lover. I watched a few of your videos. “Read Between the Lines” is very nice. I think I saw a double-neck guitar in another! What a treasured memory for you and your brother that Bobby Hatfield asked you to play at his wedding. It seemed like such a nice, intimate wedding and to be entrusted with the music for his and Linda’s wedding must have been not only special, but alot of fun. I’ve decided to subscribe to your channel to listen to your other songs. Continued success and much happiness to you. Thank you for sharing!
