Insightful review, as always! Re the cover, the CD edition actually flipped the photo. We reverted back to the original orientation of that photo. If you compare the two, you can see the slightly unnatural-looking position of Hutcherson on the CD version. Also, you are correct that there are no session photos, hence no gatefold jacket.

@@joeharley8396 thanks Joe, quite interesting, and I had a notion that this latest edition corrected the photo!

This one was almost a bit too far for me. I really appreciated your perspective on where this album and the artists are/were stylistically. And I am definitely going to give this album another listen or two in an attempt to better connect with what Bobby and crew were attempting to convey. All that said, the sound quality of this release as well as Taru is superb.

Chris, thanks for your video about Jazz music. In my opinion, the managers of Blue Not are not very smart. A lot of Tone Poet are very mediocre albums. The Blue Note label has excellent Jazz albums, the best of the Jazz history. However, I don't understand. One example: they edit a monument of Jazz like "Extensions" by McCoy Tyner without photos, not gatefold edition. I didn't buy it. It's a pitty. They don't make "repress" to Europe so. Regards from Madrid, Spain.
