Lakers should be looking to package a deal to get Steven Adams from the Rockets. He is a perfect fit for them and AD. He sets great screens and is a terrific offensive rebounder getting second shots. He also gives them the option to defend players and teams like Denver w/ Joker, Embid with Philly, Gobert/Towns w Minny, Bucks with Giannis and Lopez etc. The issue the Lakers have had is they have not had an enforcer. Adams has no ego and will play as little or as much as wanted and he is the strongest player in the league. He would allow AD to play the 4 at times as well. Getting second shots for what will sure to be a more 3 point oriented team under JJ will be key too. Only 12 million a year too.

I just think he would be an ideal big to back up and/or play alongside AD for stretches and matchups. Just seems like a perfect role player and fit too with his personality in LA. He also is just he ideal center to bang vs. Joker. Would really take a lot of pressure off AD. If they could somehow trade for Adams and possibly get one more sharp shooter along with their first rounder Knecht I think they would be real legit contenders.

@@whateveryaw8109 It’s not even just with Lebron, but overall as an organization the Lakers haven’t been the same since the tail end of the Kobe and Phil Jackson era. Before Jerry Buss passed away, he ran the organization quite well and unfortunately the front office has also been quite in a decline as well. The team overall needs to get back to their roots from what made them successful in the Kobe era where they won 5 championships in 10 years and made it to the Finals 7 times in that stretch as well. However, even with that title in 2020 (which unfortunately will always go down as a huge asterisk) I’m not sold on Jeanie Buss doing anything as owner of the team.
