Humble is the word which comes up every time I hear Bobby speak. The guy is never afraid to be funny, he is always entertaining and honest.

“What I don’t sing you hear; your mind makes up for the spaces. What I don’t sing, you hear it anyway…. My instrument is not only me up here, it’s you out there.” ~Bobby McFerrin

Exactly. It’s similar to what good drummers know - so much of groove and syncopation is playing the pauses as well as the noisy bits.

That happened to me the first time I saw Bobby live! I was floating for 2 weeks....

Isn't it neat how this kind of music fills us with such joy that we actually laugh out loud?

Is it possible to purchase the whole Workshop film? It is such an eye opining experience to see and hear this. Every word is pure gold for me right now and could make an incredible impact on my musical understanding. When there maybe, eventually is any possible way to have access to the whole thing I would be thankfull beyond anything

You are right, that was a very special and wonderful moment at AAVF. I will check out my old footage. If I will find something from Bobby Mc Ferrin I will uploading it. But I think other guys from the audience showed some footage on you tube too. Perhaps you could try this one too: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJSVoXSdlqyhnas

Hateful man at left. It takes true joy to sing

Where? I saw only one man who was concentrating, probably just trying to grasp what McFerrin was saying. Second, why would you call someone hateful? Is that how you choose to spread the joy of singing?
@dancenow13375 жыл бұрын
He is clearly just focused, soaking up knowledge. What you perceive might say more about yourself than this man.
