I had a bag like this, and everything in this video is on point. I recommend using the divider thingy, inside the bag, and putting it at the sides, which will help keep the shape of the bag longer.

I purchased the xd backpack in 2017 and still it’s the best backpack I’ve ever used, perfect for travelling and daily requirements. For the age of the bag my one is holding up well. Highly recommend.

i use the super hidden pocket for my valuables and i use your favourite pocket for stuff i need to have ready access to like tissues. agree on the fidlock, i literally lost the bottle attachment the first day i used it and i was just riding the train... i removed the dividers too. they're really good for travel clothes. problem is, the bag is way too small to carry more than a couple of shirts which is really annoying.

If you are going to travel with just a few itens, like a weekend trip, it can barely contain all the stuff. The Bobby model (original, pro, or any other subtype) it's VERY good for daily use, going to school or work. But they aren't that practical for traveling. I used my bobby original a couple of times on weekend travels, but it always was budging, very hard to close the zipper, and risking deforming the shape. Fortunately mine is still fine (because I rarely used it for traveling). That's the piece of advice I have. Unfortunately I don't have all the backpacks models the XD Design sell, in my country is very limited. For traveling I'm using the Duffle. It may be a overkill for short travels, but it's definitely more ideal for it.

Solid review! I see some of the "issues" with the first Bobby has been sort of adressed in this one. I've been using the "regular" Bobby since the Kickstarter campaign in 2016. On my most recent weekend trip I did notice the straps getting thinner/more compressed like you also have here. Since it was rather heavy I could feel how the straps started to dig into my shoulders. I do believe it was due to the sheer weight of my backpack at the time though, and that I was wearing it for many hours while it was full to the brim. That said, the straps don't appear to be great in the long run. But still work well when you don't carry too many heavy things in the backback. It's also started to tear slightly in some seams.. but I've also been using it more or less daily for literally 6 years now. It's held up quite well I'd say. I also don't really use the built in charging system much. I did start using it when I first got the bag, but the powerbank I had didn't work seamlessly with the built in charging system. I had to unplug and replug my device multiple time to get it to start the charging process. Then I didn't really start using the system again after getting other powerbanks. I generally store a small powerbank in the sidepocket instead (Currently a Zendure SuperMini). Something I do find very useful that seemingly has been negatively affected with this newer model though is the lack of the second side pocket. But I guess the back facing tablet pocket could be used instead for similar storage. I've been thinking about upgrading to a bigger Bobby for a few years now but can never come to a good desition on it. Partly because there are a few models that I sort of want and I also didn't really "need" a new Bobby since my current one is working just fine so far.. Lately I've really been looking into getting a Bobby Sling however. I cab justify that purchase more easily since it's another type of product for another usecase. Just really looking for good user feedback on it before investing in it. One thing that's really annoyed me about the "regular" Bobby from the start though is that the straps don't "lock in place" very well when you set the length you want. They always tend to slide out and make them longer. I fixed that by doing two knots where I wanted them locked though..

Nice seeing you enjoyed the video! I really liked the original Bobby but the pro was a very big improvement and seems to last longer than the original one did. I’m still daily driving this backpack and the bag padding is the only ongoing issue I still have but it’s nothing too bad. I personally saw the straps not locking in place as a feature since I like tightening it a lot and loosening it to take off the backpack easily. There’s a small wishlist for a future Bobby like a bright inside to find things easily and a stiffer shell so it doesn’t deform as easily but it’s my favorite bag so far. I would recommend looking at the Bobby hero since it’s like a hybrid between the pro and the original. Also because it seems like the pro doesn’t sell anymore??

Hey, thanks for the detailed review! I was wondering how does the backpack fell on hot days. It doesn't seem to have any ventilation on the back. Any comments on this?

Great review. Just got one but apparently no dividers were supplied. This is also the regular, correct? Was wondering what size the Cocoon Grid-it organiser is, small or medium. Want to buy the same, looks handy.
@eubeusio10 ай бұрын
I see now this is the Pro with the dividers included. Apparently not with the Hero. Size is about the same.

Everyview, How many plastic plates do you have in your backpack? I'm questioning this 'cause I only have 3 of them: 2 on the sides and 1 on the top, in addition the distance between them is quite big as I think. Is it the same in your Bobby? Thank you in advance for the answer. 😄
@Everyview3 жыл бұрын
Hey sorry I just saw this. I think my bag also has 3 of them and there’s a gap between the side plates and the top so it sometimes caves in unless you have your bag full

Hi, can you talk more about the bottom piece, like you printed it?
@Everyview3 жыл бұрын
It’s just a flat piece of plastic I printed out! It’s because the bag doesn’t have much bottom support so I just quickly measured the space in the little slot and made it to fit
