BOBBY RYDELL (1942 - 2022) Truly one of my heroes. Had it not been for Rydell, I may never have pursued a career making records. He was just a bit older than me when his first hits raged onto the radio. What a voice!!! His pitch was always near perfect. He could sing anything. How could we ever forget Wild One, Kissin' Time, Good Time Baby, Swingin' School, We Got Love, Sway, I'll Never Dance Again, and Forget Him. I also loved the way he interpreted the old standards. His recordings will never be forgotten. He made me always try to be a better singer.

Met him in Europe in 1974. A down to earth, unpretentious real person.....hell of a nice guy.

Thank you Bobby. You kept your dignity and your love of family. Your love for Camille was one of the great love stories in the early rock & roll era! Much to be proud of!

I was a youngster when Bobby was popular. Was lucky to see him, Fabian & Frankie Avalon put on a great show many years ago. I always think of him as Hugo in Bye, Bye Birdie but I know he was much more. Seems like a very nice guy. RIP Bobby. I will read your book. Didn't know you wrote one!

Wow, two comments and both filled with hatred. Dont let hate consume you, it has no constructive value. I didnt know who Bobby Rydell was, but I am thankful that he has turned his life around and has actually helped a lot of people (google him to see what he has done). Dont be a hater like Sky Captain or Steve Stevens.....they have some issues. Praying for both of them.

The two most talented ‘Bobby’s’ of that era were Bobby Darin and Bobby Rydell.

I didn't know this. I ran across this video a few days after David Cassidy's death. It seems as if they were on a similar life track, only Rydell survived his addictions but didn't have dementia.

Loved Bobby's rather shocked and confused look when Justin Bieber gets mentioned. Why did Bill have to bring that guy up?
