Bobby Sands a great Irish poet, nationalist and soldier. TAL 32. He lies resting, undefeated. He did more harm to Thatchers cruel and obnoxious British government than many bullets or bombs did. A true Irish hero. He stood on the verge of a trembling new world for all real Irish people.

That would make sense, paul. I heard this song for the first time in the mid 80s when I was very young - about 9-10 years old. It was at a mate's house and he was a few years older than I was. It was probably around 85-86. Different world, back then. Some great memories, though.

[chorus] And when the sound of the battle is over It`s shoulder to shoulder we`ll stand To remember the brave young Irish soldiers Who fought for the cause of Ireland. Bobby Sands, Bobby Sands Will you fight for the right to unite all Ireland? Will you wear the black beret? Will you serve the IRA? If you can you`re a man Bobby Sands. Carson somme Why the hell would you listen to THIS song, if you hate the Irish people?
@1798UnitedIrishMen7 жыл бұрын
Carson was a Dublin man, he actually didn't like the orangemen in fact he hated them it just so happened he didn't want a free Ireland he wanted to remain in the UK, he certainly didn't hold the same hate the person who uses his name in said manner. secondly do you realize that over 100,000 Irish men, republicans, home rulers and loyalists all fought in ww1 ? or is your bigotry based on the fact the minority of those who left ireland to fight in ww1 where loyalists/unionists, yes that is correct more republicans went to fight germany than so called loyal unionists. Same story in ww2 more Irish people fought in that war than loyalist/Unionists. God I love making fools like you struggle with facts . RIP Bobby Sands, a man who died for what he believed in unlike loyalists who are afraid of the good fight. PS you lot are loyal to a nation/government/monarchy that sent them men to their deaths in ww1/2 yet you claim republicans are scum haha someone has been deeply entrenched in loyalist propaganda.
