Man, I am a middle aged black man who was being born during the times they speak of and was raised in Chicago. These stories just give me a better idea of what my parents who were old enough to feel and experience what their lives must have been like. I say that knowing exactly what I've experienced and am sad to think that I most likely won't live to see a time when things will be much different and with all the perfected distraction strategies in place today, I feel my grandchildren won't either; I am still living so I purposely skipped over my children. Hell, today as we live and breathe there are groups that want to make interests in real history even less than it is today. I find what I think evident in the fact that there has been weel over 9,00 views of this content and less than 50 comments before I began commenting. One thing Americans are experts at is burying our heads in the sand on the most important issues and raising hell over the most trivial.

I was yet a teenager, much to young to join the fight. Living through such a time was extremely painful. Coworkers from many jobs I've had labeled me as a hard man, some say confrontational. As folks, even today, attempt to lure me into their conversations, the first thing I say "I was born in the mid 1950s. U may not like or can handle what I'm fitt'n to put down. I am a product of hard times. My neighborhood friends & I were the "First" group of children to be placed on a bus, driven to the other side of town to desegregate schools. My major (if I may) was pugilism to the tenth power. First time ever in a fight just to go to school. My Old Heads along with My Oldest Brother, the brother who gave me my first lesson on how to walk and ride a bike was take'n from me, drafted to fight in Vietnam. I Failed history every year in school because I asked to many questions about My History and questioned theirs. My Mother and her brothers, My Uncles were slaves. Now, do U really want me in this conversation." If Black History was/is tough without sanctions, I truly believe this Hip Hop Generation would fix all this 😂. That's my "I have a dream"... it's all on us to teach children what the school system won't.. POWER TO THE PEOPLE FOREVER!!!!!! Had I been old enough to join, I wouldn't have seen 21 years old, and that would have been alright with me. I heard a great man once say," IF A MAN DOES NOT HAVE A CAUSE TO DIE FOR, THEN HE'S NOT FIT TO LIVE" MLK

Continued: Lately I've been digging, come to find out Malcom X was destined to be who he was from the belly of his mother. One of Marcus Gavey's most invested soldiers, Mr & Mrs Little gave birth to Malcom Little. J Edgar Hoover's earned his decades of racial domination, give'n freely without challenge by this hateful establishment by successfully extraditing Marcus Garvey back to his native land, disturbed (I believe) best, earliest opportunity for our return back to our origin, leaving this country to build it's own instead of literally, on our backs. When Areatha Franklin (God rest her Soul) sang these folks national anthem in 1968 @ the democratic convention, the same year of my bus'n experience, (they tried to crucify her for jazz'n it up), i lost a little "respect", as I do any Black person who stands up for something so meaningless to our culture. But (watch out for the butts), in 1983, (I must admit) what Marvin Gay (God rest his Soul) did to that song was off the chain, once again, at the establishment's dismay. In closing: 2022 shortly after my birthday, I sincerely Prayed, "LORD!!! Shut this thing down. If I'm not worthy of eternity with YOU, then so be it. I've been TRULY BLESSED with Both Parents of age. You're HEALED me from cancer, DELIVERED me from years of addiction. HEALED me from cancer a 2nd time. You're BLESSED me with Children, Grandchildren & Great-grandchildren with a 4th Great grandson on the way. I fear what my seeds will endure". Well, my youngest Great grandson went back to THE FATHER after 4 months with us. THANK YOU GOD FOR SAVING MY BOY FROM WHATEVER YOU SAVED HIM FROM. I can Truly say, My youngest never told a lie. Never stole, never disrespect or hurt anyone, jailed or shot. Most of all, HE WILL NEVER EXPERIENCE THE INESCAPABLE REALITY OF RACISM.

TheFunkadelicFan It is. I wish the Black Party were still here today, and as organized. We desperately need these type of strong, community focused, leftist groups now, especially with the alt-right and fascist groups which are popping up, organizing, arming themselves, and getting built and learning to scrap.. I hope to god that we don’t have to get into this kind of violence in 2018, or in the next couple years, but we’re moving towards that type of situation. People waiting around for some big sign that fascism is serious enough in America need to wake up, that’s almost never how it works; this shit slowly builds bit by bit, and the state is never on the right side.. The left has got to get its shit together, we’ve got to get serious, and we’ve got to organize, bc this planet is quite literally being destroyed, and we have to get power to stop it, and we will be met with force, and we have got to be ready..

Is this statement a joke?! She and Ayers are domestic terrorists, murderers, and bank robbers, they are no heroes! They got off on a technicality, were saddened because they didn’t do more terroristic acts, and then infected higher education by becoming part of the faculty. They are no better than every other sociopathic narcissist who have taken advantage of others and manipulated people into thinking they actually stand for anything other than their own selfish ego, greed, and power. Proof - if justice isn’t blind which means there is no justice which is justification for everything they did, where are they today with the FBI and “MAGA” Republicans being raided, parents being tagged with threat tag EDU for speaking out at school board meetings for covering up their daughter’s rape, and so on. They are silent because it has nothing to do with justice - it is about control! Malcolm X - white liberals are the greatest threat to blacks! There is nothing these people did that warrants anything more than the death penalty!

How so? It seems like weather took the front line risks to an extreme degree to me, outlived the panthers and the BLA, and ended up almost entirely locked up. Edit: when I say outlived I don’t mean individually, I mean the subgroups of weather, continuously allied with panthers, kept doing major actions into the mid 1980s

What sources do we have to verify these events? In light of how I’ve seen many media lies in similar situations recently im reluctant to believe at face value that certain “protests” are nonviolent. A relevant example is the breonna taylor case where all the original media reports were deliberately deceptive and coordinated.

No one seems to get the real significance, and that is that literal murderers were not only prosecuted but were rewarded promoted and went on to become policy makers. Bobby talks about me, me , me and how many black he ushered into to political positions but can't say how they effected, or more accurately had no effect, on the change he says is still required. I mean can people see past the stories told by videos like these and make themselves understand the impact it had. Then can they go further than that and see the parallels in what is happening to this day. I appreciate those that attempt to shine a light on what transpired in the no so distant past, but without being able to make connections; how much good is it actually doing. It's as if all of these stories purposely stop short of presenting this information in ways that will spark new movements that ask the same questions they were asking back during those times. I'm sure that's what those brave souls are screaming to happen from so many graves. They are not saisfied with Obama and Jay Z.
