However I've found that German artists really tend to put effort into their rhymes, and at least rap about relevant things instead of purple drink or killing people. The old rap, and even metal, was best when the two were both about something, and meant more to the artist than their life itself. You never see a singer put their life into a soundtrack or a mixtape anymore. It doesn't work like that these days. It's sad, but it's the truth.
