many people complaint about the hard plastics inside this car..yes it feels 'cheap' and hard to touch but it lasts very long, probably longer than the soft touch plastics in other cars..my dad's first generation swift interior plastic (cbu japan) still holds good no cracking no expanding whatsoever..the mileage already 300k ++ km..

One major drawback for swift sport is the lack of sound deadening. Fatiguing during long drive. I added proper sound treatment on the doors and boot area, remedied the problem. It's the perfect daily drive. I also own Skoda Octavia RS (VW Gti mk7 drivetrain), Swift Sport is nicer to drive. The ride is a lot less busy, as surefooted on the highway and far more chuckable. The engine of course lack the punch but is as quick at building speed, 0-100 in 6.5s gps timed (6spd auto).

as a mini cooper S , m3 and merc owner . this suzuki is type of car which on a right sweet spot in reality of Malaysian road in term of lightweight fun factor and quality . im just smiling . My judgement on car is simple . How responsive one car after malaysia infinity bump . After break u get asap power right plus car wont feel heavy on it . Its the real car but not for price bangsa “baik beli..”

I cannot sleep when deciding whether to buy Swift Sport or mazda3 hahaha... In the end, I choose Mazda3 due to personal reason but kind of still regret not buying the Swift. Might buy the swift for my wife if I got a chance and extra money XD

Test drove last weekend. Brakes are better than mazda 3, steering feel alive, suspension subtle and magic. I can say its a fun car can drive hooniganly without thinking of the high maintenance cost. Cornering like champ, proper handbrake. So much fun.

Bobby, looking forward to a genting drive. You guys dont get the manual there ? small cars have come a long long way. The SS , especially in manual form, is a more engaging drive than say a DSG Golf R in tight country roads. Yes you need 600nm to beat the other guy at the lights, but you dont need that to have fun. The fun comes in being part of making forward progress. Speaking from experience, buying a small no frills hatch declutters your life more than you expect. No more sticky BMW control knobs, no spending time in the workshop on weekdays, no more creak hunting, no more clunk hunting, no more oil temp monitoring, no more buying parts from abroad. Tyres are cheap, petrol is cheap, you dont have to be selective in parking, you probably wash less. Start and Go Genting and back. Of course, you no longer can hang out with your Golf R clubs, or M clubs... but.... its ok! Buy this as a daily and then buy whatever car that needs TLC as a hobby.

I have little idea what happened with Renault and their sporty Clios. Back in the 90s, and in the early 00s as well I think, the Clio was the queen of small hot hatches. Then it became a good one. Now they have a good chassis, decent engines, but force you to have it with a 4-gear auto box which is the perfect example of what you hate in a car, and basically no-one considers a sporty Clio an option if they want a sporty small car.

Drives better than Mazda 3 in a hot hatch way. Doesn't flow like the Mazda 3 in a BMW RWD way. Definitely more agile and darty than the Mazda 3. Zero lag turbo engine also very satisfying to point and shoot

Nope. Manual is more engaging of course but the auto is faster and more convenient for driving in traffic. I don't think you can go wrong either way. Just depends what's most important to you.
