I ordered custom foam from Nalpak for my cases that are cutout for knives and saved the factory foam. The foam though I ordered cost as much or more then the case lol but from that company you can order cases with their foam in them. I bought a couple new Pelican cases think they are 1750 big enough to fit a couple of my rifles in and I bought them with no foam planned on ordering foam to hold a couple AR15s. They offered the foam in 2 colors its all black on top but can pick green or blue for the bottom portion I bought blue. I need to order another foam and get another case for my knives. The one I have only holds 40 and its full. I have some knife rolls too from Blade HQ but I like them for traveling to bring a few with me not really for storing them. The Apache cases at Harbor Freight are the same size as corresponding Pelican so maybe get one of the Apache 3800 they hold the same 40 same foam the foam is $85 case is probably half the price of a Pelican. Unless I can find used ones. One of the surplus dealers at the gun shows here always has piles of Pelican cases for $20 on up.

Buy the FirstEdge fixed blade knife! It's the cheapest price for an ELMAX blade and it's an absolute Beast! I researched fixed blade knives for weeks, and it's what I personally found to be the best for what I was lookin for 👍

Very nice ! out of curiosity do you use and carry them all or are some just collectable? Do you save the boxes also? I will buy a knife and then wished I would have just put it up and not carried it and used it so it is not like new anymore. I always go back to my CQC7 anyway. Still, if you don't play with them and use them you don't know what they are really about. I think I have a box collection to which is kinda a pain. Enjoyed a lot ATB2U - stan

My Spyderco native 5 is pretty stiff. Can't come close to flicking it like your knives. Any suggestions for loosening and smoothing it up? Thanks.

Jim Berkenfield The native 5 is going to be stiffer because it's a lock back. You can always clean the pivot out or drop a little oil in it (like hoppes 9).

I do have the original Benchmade/Emerson CQC serrated, bought new back in the day (dumb luck)...pristine, never abused it = smart luck. Gotta break down and get a Sebenza some day. Subbed.

Great taste in knives but I'll never understand the Emerson knife fascination. Asides of the high pricing, I've heard about major fit and finish issues. Add to that the chisel grind, which isn't a good cutter justified by some corny it can 'be resharpened on a rock in the field' logic. There's better cutters with higher fit and finish for less money.

I don't much care for the chisel grind either but its a blade...it will cut things. Basically it gets the job done while being very strong and ergonomic. You can't forget the wave feature either, nothing faster than it for defense or just for looks. I do wish they would put out some more variety. Would love to see some things other than g10 and would like to see frame locks rather than liner locks.

This comment is way off topic, but I feel like I need to warn people... I recently paid a lot of money for an OTF knife at knifecenter.com. I received the knife, and I notice they charged me $38 in sales tax... The kicker is they don't tell you when you check out!! They charge you "after" you checkout, and there's nothing that says they charge sales tax! 😡 Also I don't live in the same state as Knifecenter. And when I called to inquire about this shady "surprise tax", the woman at knifecenter was instantly rude 👎, and yes - their tax charge wasn't a mistake. Be warned!!

That's very generous of you. :) I volunteer quite often to build ramps for disabled people that can't afford them. We make their houses more accessible without the fear of getting injured going up the steps at their front door. On another note, treat yourself to something you like.
