I knew of about half of these original songs but the rest was quite informative and entertaining! I think that sampling, if done properly and with respect to the source material, is complimentary to everyone involved. Old School & Mid School music was true art 🎨. We miss 2Pac and everyone else in his songs and in the original music in this awesome video! ❤️🌹

No Diggity didn't become Toss It Up. Story behind that beat is twisted, but simply put, Pac recorded Toss It Up first with Dr Dre knowledge, but Dre one who made the beat never finalized it with 2pac. and when Dre left Death Row he produced No Diggity instead. Pac still released the song because of Dre and Death Row beef and he did it as sheer disrespect because he was upset at Dre over few other known issues

There were different laws regarding sampling prior to January 1st 1994 when the law was changed in favor of the original artists. That's why groups like Public Enemy have records with like 10 different samples in one song. But after that date things changed drastically which led to less just sampling what you want and more interpolations and using 1 or 2 samples per song. Shit got expensive to do lol
