Why is there a general rule saying not to mount your amps on the box? It's because the walls of the box can flex in and out with the high pressures inside. Gately's been doing this a long time and he specifically designed and built that subwoofer box. He can design it and brace it in such a way that there is no flex on that panel. 😉

As a good rule to follow with most subwoofer boxes do not mount your amplifiers to them because they are likely built with materials that flex and resonate significantly (this isn’t something you have to worry about with our enclosures). :)
