Beautiful work! How often will she need a toner? I’m going to do a client tomorrow who got greenish looking hair elsewhere and we are going to warm it (yay!) because she’s a natural auburn (and covering gray) Your color coding was very helpful. The color wheel doesn’t change, and that the beauty. I used to use Schwarzkopf and love how you know to mix the formulas. I did this 35 years ago and people told me not too 😂 My mom used the same brand when she was an apprentice in her little village in Bavaria in the late 1940’s. Thanks much

amazing!!! im so stunned how incredibly u mixed the colors, like applying a toner,then root tap and then glaze, i don’t how u make those formulations so precisely, like Schwarzphof have A LOT of shades, how u know which use??, lovely ❤❤❤
@BobbyHairStudio2 жыл бұрын
it comes with time and practice, the best thing you can do for yourself is to make mental notes when you use a new shade. make notes on what it looks like mixing, processing, and the overall result wet or dry. the more you actively engage your brain into taking notes, the more naturally it will come to you and soon you wont even know youre doing it. observant eyes make the best hairstylist eyes.

It’s depends on many factors. The quality of your water , how often you wash the hair , what quality of the hair products you use , if you use hair colour protection mask , shampoo and conditioner, what hair type you have, etc . If you have hard water and using shampoo $5 don’t expect miracle.

I’m confused, why are you calling it box dye if you said it was a semi permanent ion or wella color? Isn’t that just Demi permanent color and not box dye?
@BobbyHairStudio2 жыл бұрын
That is true to a level. However “box dye” has become almost a relative term in hairdressing. Some hairdressers consider anything from a store that doesn’t require a license to purchase from “box dye”, and some do not. How I personally see “box dye” these days is someone whose purchased colour without training and applies the colour in a way that requires special colour treatment and consideration when lifting. It might not be how everyone sees it but I do find that using the blanket term at least provides an eye for viewers to see the video as “this clients hair history is a bit of a mystery! We don’t know if every time the same colour or line was used, or how it was applied, which developers and how long it’s been left on, as well as how regularly the colour is done wether it’s pulled through or just left to the roots” I hope this helps my phrasing make sense for these videos. I do not speak for all hairdressers, just myself and I feel like keeping the terminology simple and to the point let’s viewers see that this is a unique case (as all head of hair are unique and need to be given their own special treatment!)

Have you ever tried the Malibu CPR? It does an amazing job cutting through permanent color without the bleach ❤️
@BobbyHairStudio2 жыл бұрын
I’ve used it but to be honest I wasn’t super impressed the few times I did 😶 i only hear amazing things about Malibu. What I think it is, is colour remover has some limitations and I think the clients I’ve used Malibu on, have used the box dyes that Malibu doesn’t effect much
@mandyrhandum2 жыл бұрын
I highly recommend trying it with some 15(ish???) volume. You can use more or less, but that volume seems to work well. Keep under heat for 40 mins. It really does a great job cutting through without the bleach. And those 4 good scrubs with their un goo shampoo is fantastic, too. Do you remember how you used it? Btw, you did an incredible job on this lady’s hair! ❤️❤️
@justbecause9049 Жыл бұрын
I’ve always been confused as to whether color remover takes out Demi colors because the molecules are different from permanent color. I would not have used a color remover first, but I would not have been able to get it this light. That color was scary. It came out gorgeous.
