ABBA's 1st Ever Photo Session - Original Location 4K | Then & Now

I was at this location in May 2023 with my daughter and took photos of her sitting in the same spot. It is also adjacent to the field where ABBA filmed the Stockholm sequences for ABBA the Movie. I believe the area was used multiple times by ABBA for photo shoots. It is postcard beautiful there on Djurgarden Island. Amazing this wooden structure still stands. Every ABBA fan visiting Stockholm should see the place in person.

Yes, we enjoy the videos and we visit the places when we are in Stockholm, go on showing them and thanks for helping us to find them. My next visit will be in April, not sure will be enough time to try to get there, but hope one day I will find it, my first attempt was unsuccessful!

Absolutely continue doing these historical tours relating ABBA's long and colorful music careers' that add so much substance and fill in so many hereto for blanks that are so difficult otherwise to fill in without these well done video sketches that you produce. I am from Rockford Illinois USA , which was settled in the 1870;s [90 miles NW of Chicago ] by Swedish immigrants...ie furniture makers. Many here still speak Swedish. Many ABBA fans are here and have followed the group since their inception. I have also read their biographies done by Carl Magnus Palm and so have a good data base of information on the group whom we fell in love here with when > Arrival : came over the seas to enlighten our musical acumen. I am 77 yrs of age and have followed their whole career. I have just discovered your channel and am most impressed. I have a teaching and Government career in Veteran Employment services and would like to compliment you on your very well done posted videos...I will continue to support you and look forward to your updates. Great info & very nostalgic! I lived in Eindhoven, NL in 1976-77. I was 14 & ABBA was all the rage by then. I had not heard of them in the States up to that point. Dancing Queen had just come out & that put them over the top with fans as well on popular British TV show 'Top of the Pops' Posters of the girls in the Cat mini dresses were everywhere. Needless to say it was a great time living in Holland. Not sure if its true but I once heard that ABBA was the largest Swedish Export Co. $$$ grosser for that year, even bigger than Volvo.

Wow!! I never expected to see that historic ABBA landmark so neglected. The local municipality and/or someone related to the group should do something in order to embellish it and keep it tidy and safe. Or else, one of these days we'll find it burned to the ground. 😪

Thanks very much. Have been there twice, and further along the path you come to the canal which was in the film ABBA The Movie. The canal was in the dream sequence in the film. This is all on the island of Djurgarden in Stockholm, pretty near to ABBA The Museum.

I really enjoy these location videos and the research yo do into them. I think like others the shelter should be restored it does not look in bad condition for its age but the bench needs repairing and the structure listed for its historical value.

Well i had thought that their first one was from that summery card postal session of 1970 down in Cyprus.(Varosha) But maybe you are right since the idea of finally forming a proper pop group came gradually and developed steadily till it matured by the time that they decided to do the first pop song as a 4some with the 'People need love" record.
