Glad you enjoyed it. So many times the wildlife just walks by the camera. Seeing the bobcat rubbing on the leaf and marking it's territory is fun to see.

@@Desertusa Yes sir. It is probably more common to see them in your area. I grew up in a rural area of western Massachusetts, and have spent a good amount of time in the woods. Yet in my 67 years have only seen one out in the wild, and that was on the dirt road driveway to my dad's sawmill. He was a good sized healthy looking male. We just looked each other in the eyes for probably less than a minute, but seemed much longer. Then he just walked off over a stone wall and back into the woods. There is probably a decent population of them here, but they are very elusive, and there are plenty of places to hide in the deep woods. They have probably seen me many more times than i have seen them.

Yes - They seem to be everywhere here in San Diego. I see them on the ranch in person from time to time, but most are caught on the trail camera. There is a park / canyon where there is a horse stable, and I have seen and photographed with my phone a couple of times also. Lots of coyotes also. They like the horse ranch because there are squirrels and rats for them to hunt.

Beautiful cat for sure. Looks very healthy and seeming a lot more muscular than a typical house cat. I don't think I'd annoy this guy for no reason ... any reason!

Thank you! He definitely takes good care of himself, and his health shows through his impressive physique!
