Fixed the leaky ram on the Bobcat and finally poured the last roof slab on the fortress!

Great progress Alan, your videos don't really portray just how much work you do. That's okay, you'd never get as much done by trying to film it all. I've been a building contractor who pretty much works alone, for 40 yrs., so I really appreciate the amount of work you do and the skillset to accomplish the task properly. I'm enjoying your projects. As much as I enjoy Sparks and most of his videos, I'd put money on a bet they(his guys) couldn't keep up with you and do the job right.

At 9minutes: that sky imo looks distinctly 'mackerel'. Usually a strong sign that the weather conditions are going to turn sometime in the next 24hours, usually to rain. Mackerel sky and 'mares tails' ie long wispy clouds curved like a horses tail, boaties recognise those as sure signs it going to rain, get rough, pretty soon. I'd guess you won't see those too often in the high desert.

Hey Allen I have repaired pitted pistons before using a product called duraglass.Normally used for body work but it's not Bondo. It's fiberglass powder and resin. Worked like a charm for me.

Y should get that rod's mashined in lathe. Getting it round up is better than having constantly changing seals. Yes y will also need to change gasket and bushing, but after that ram last like years without fixing.
