Got my first Bob Marley LP as a christmas gift from my brother exactly 40 years ago, a year after Bob's passing. Still listen to him at least once a week and he's my number one musical hero. This summer we went seeing his son Ziggy playing a tribute concert in my native town of Stockholm. He played the exact playlist his father played on that very stage the year 1980. It was a mighty evening. Bob already knew back then who the wicked rulers were and what they aim to. Today we can see their agenda out in the open. People, let's chase them crazy baldheads out of earth permanently. Don't buy into the division and woke insanity, they want us to fight each other - black/white, man/woman, young/old, religion/science, etc etc...divide and conquer on steroids now. God bless you all.

I attended one of Bob Marley's concerts, a scant year before his death, and he sounded just like this. Here Bob is plain rockin' out, which is what brought reggae to the mainstream in the early to late 70s. Bob Marley rock-ified and internationalized reggae. But for a more exquisite/dim sum sampling of this man's vast compositional talents, check out his valedictory album, "Uprising"! And while at it check out the exquisite brilliance of "Pimper's Paradise". It is Exhibit A that Marley was way bigger than reggae. "Uprising" is a must have album for any self-respecting Marley fan. Long live The King. Gangster Corleone.

Bob Marely showed me when I was young that music was powerful and extended beyond just background noise or something fun to have on at parties. It is a shame that mainstream music has gone in essentially the opposite direction.... the potential power music contains for provoking thought and change has been traded for its power to create consumer wealth for celebrities and the companies that own their images. Unfortunately, in the current state of music, we have few opportunities to see such powerful and dynamic performers put on such important and timeless shows. I doubt folks will look back at footage of contemporary music with the same awe struck sense of genius and soul
