Screws can be flathead. That is about how the head is shaped (vs a rounded head, called buttonhead screws). A screwdriver isn't flathead, what you want to call it is "slotted." I used to get this one wrong myself until my boss as a field tech beat it into my head.

I compared the bobovr with the official elite strap, and Holy cow the bobovr strap is very heavy! It feels like a whole unit around your head. I'd say the bobovr is good, but i'm still chasing the magical unicorn that will fit my quest even more perfect. I'll buy the elite strap with battery to see if it feels better on my face but i still haven't found something that feels good. The bobovr strap hurts my hair after 4 hours of playing and even my hairdresser noticed that i'm turning bald on the front hairline where the strap is leaning on. The elite strap hurts the front of my face after 1 hour, so 4 hours isn't bad but not worth getting bald for.

A huge thanks for the vid. I found myself maybe having a bigger head then most people, and the pad on the back kept slipping upwards until some point, which makes me feel not safe to move my head comfortably. Bought some items and modded as your "favorite upgrade" and it works like a champ.

I tried an attachment called the RCstyle Simple Quick-Release Pillow for Quest 2. It looks like it would be great, but the strap openings aren't as forgiving as the one you used, and I just could not get those pivot points to fit through. Sad day. Guess I'll try another.

Just got a bobo M2. It's okay nbut it has its flaws. Your video though - it only shows the headstrap in its compressed mode and not in the shape it would be while on a head. The battery attachment looks particularly non-functional if you extend the headset in its normal "on your head" design. I just mounted a velcro pad on the back of a 5800 power bank (it's quite small) and on the dial. I put the headset on my head. adjust the dial, and then attach the battery and attach the wire while its on my head. Takes 6 seconds and it looks great and doesn't have a big battery pressing on your neck.

This is a great video! I got that triangle shaped head strap pad just as a cheap upgrade to the stock strap, but is doesn’t really fix face pressure issues. I’m hoping this strap will help prevent forehead pressure and such
@VRKommando3 жыл бұрын
If your setup is feeling front heavy a powerbank to the reat goes a long way in easing up on the pressure.

Interesting vid! I'm actually looking to mod the usual GOMRVR halo strap as the back strap on it is small and puts a lot of pressure on the back of my head Does the TPU headband cup the back of the head better versus the velcro padding one? Latter option reminds me of the similar back thing on the official Elite strap
@VRKommando3 жыл бұрын
Hey, I'm actually currently working on the next video which is going to be about the GOMRVR Halo Strap, there I will be talking about the upgrades and how they fair. When you say "Velcro Padding One" you mean the stock pad that comes with the GOMRVR right? Or are you comparing the barebones TPU Cup Pad vs the TPU Cup Pad with padding from Beswin? If its the first one then it yes it does distribute the pressure pretty well, but with the halo strap, it can def use some extra padding to go along with it. I will talk more about it in the video showing all the different options Hope this helps!

When i have Bobo headset, i noticed the back is weak and it's kinda slippery due used padding that slides too easy. Only with bigger back plate, that will solve the problem for me. Because head shape is for everyone different, this is why Bobo will not hold well for some people due unlucky head shape.
