My mother used to say when the sky was absolutely beautiful, that Bob Ross had painted that sky from Heaven, after he had passed on. Our entire family enjoyed his painting series. We loved all the little critters he brought to the show. I'm the only painter in the family and owe a lot to Bob for making it so easy. God Bless you, Bob Ross. You are truly missed.

I owe my last 30 years of painting to Bob Ross so, yes, he is alive today thru me I know and thousands of others I'm sure! Thank you Bob and RIP.

Nickhead87 that’s quite ignorant to say that stuff, there are millions of people who have benefited from the use of antidepressants. I love Bob Ross and while he’s an absolute pleasure to watch, he doesn’t fix all of one’s problems. you can be distracted by something to take your mind off your problems but a lot of the time, depression/anxiety/other mood disorders aren’t caused by one specific thing but a combination of your biology, your cognitive biases and your environment and when you can’t change any of those things then that’s where antidepressants do work. sorry for the rant but just because one or two or however many specific medicines haven’t worked for you or someone you know, it doesn’t mean that they don’t work at all. if different people can have a completely different biological background that affects whether or not they suffer from any kind of disease then that biology can also affect how well they respond to different drugs. sorry for rant lols

@@itpaynesme You're right to say that they help people. Medicinal treatments have definitely advanced from where they used to, but there are flaws with how they're used. Funnily enough, the problem has little to do with their effectiveness. Specifically, as it stands, there hasn't been enough research into the brain to fully understand the effects of any given drug (not only that, but the diagnoses themselves aren't well known beyond base-level symptomatic details). These problems aren't really caused by the people who make them, but rather the typical lack of concern that society has towards the individual person. In short, society as a whole doesn't care about anything but surface issues. If a condition doesn't affect one's ability to function in society, it's considered a personal issue a lot of the time, which usually means treatment will only last until a person is no longer *visibly* affected, even if they still have the problem (hence medicine). Personally, I feel like more research into the brain is desperately needed, but it's dangerous to actually perform since, let's be honest, the brain isn't meant for physical and chemical testing. That being said, if it could be done safely, it might make medicine a more viable form of treatment for people with long-term conditions.

People have to remember when saying some of his paintings were simplistic. Try some of his paintings like I have with the tools he used. It's not so easy. Bob Ross was teaching beginners how to paint, and had only 26 (real time) minutes to do it in each episode. He made it look easy because he was so good at it. Bob could have painted anything at any level, but that wasn't the format at that time. No one worked a palette knife and fan brush like Bob. There is a little bit of Bob Ross in alot of youtube painters these days. By word or by painting action. 'Just watch and listen. You'll catch it. 'Just love watching him.

what's maybe more important but even harder to teach is how to see these things in your mind before painting... so you know what to paint. But that's the same for all creative endeavors and practicing helps just the same. The more you do it the more ideas you get one one leads to another

Some may say the boat is abit too small but remember: everything is possible on the canvass. Just imagine and draw it, it becomes a reality and part of the world

Thank you KZbin for preserving these paintings forever. That sound - that brush going swiftly across that canvas…

Bob Ross had a gentle voice and easy way about his art that made us ( students) want to copy his style.❤😂
