I don’t know about everyone else, but I find the best ASMR to be the kind that doesn’t focus on ASMR. People who make and post ASMR videos here aren’t as relaxing because they feel forced. Bob Ross focused on painting and I think that’s why his ASMR feels natural.

Same, and I've never attempted oil painting before. I've done watercolors and acrylics, but never oils. I learned far more on oil painting than I did in art classes. For example, no one told me of odorless paint thinner for cleaning brushes between paints.

Believe it or not, Bob was a drill instructor in the army for years. He said his job was to shout at everybody all day, everyday. When he left the army he said he would never raise his voice to anybody ever again. Lovely man.

I use to find episodes of Bob Ross painting on PBS. I would mute the TV, because I found his voice to be irritating and annoying,and I only wanted to see him paint.
