Bob had a philosophy of not wanting the show to ever seem dated so he always wore blue jeans and drab oxford style shirts. It was a good idea since you can't tell when the show was aired based solely on clothing style though his and his guest's hair style will tell you anyways. Of course it seems that doing this also confuses channels like this who seem to think he made more than 12 seasons of shows when he only did this from 1983 to 1994. He retired from the air force in 1981 and learned to paint after that. He died in 1995. Somehow this channel seems to think he had over 30 seasons of shows.
@kameronpeterson36017 жыл бұрын

Nickhead87 Traditionally, "wh" was almost always pronounced phonetically as a "H". Whilst it has largely disappeared in mainstream speech patterns over time, certain "wh" words have retained the old-fashioned style (eg. "Who" is still pronounced with a "H" sound).

I met Dana Jester in the fall of 2018 thanks to my wife and spent a day painting with him. Sunlight is may favorite painting and I had the privilege of painting and watching him paint this same painting in our all day session almost 30 years later. I call him my friend now and go to Winchester Indiana every year and paint with him and Bob's amazing son Steve. If you love Bob and his Joy get your ass to Winchester Indiana and take a class.

I did a search for 'dana jester instagram' and there he is with a few pics of Bob Ross as well. He also has a KZbin channel with some live videos with Bob in them, painting classes and whatnot. They are pretty low quality, filmed live off a tv by the looks, but an interesting insight nonetheless.

Sorry but I can never change Bob Ross's ways. His voice, painting, showing how to paint over and the way he was with animal's everything was and is beautiful. # number 1 always. But this is me, want thing I always wonder a man that was in the army and had to talk very strong to his men, you could never tell he was like that. His sweet voice it was very relaxing and also his paintings, I could stay looking at his paintings and I felt like I was there. May he rest in peace enjoying with the Angel's. We will always love you Bob Ross.

So yesterday i bought some utensils to start some bob ross paintings. since i like his black canvases the most, i bought liquid black, thinking its what he used for his black canvases. But watching some more videos I noticed he uses black gesso as a base coat and never liquid black. Does he EVER use liquid black? cause its the only liquid i have now (so no white or clear liquid). What should I dooo now?
@RandoPandaSmiles8 жыл бұрын
Chrymoon experiment. Might as well use what you got.
@MidnightMagpie738 жыл бұрын
you could just use the liquid black as a base coat and let it dry. the. afterwards place the things as you need them. though you'll mainly do darker paintings with those colors so take advantage of that with more translucent color first then your opaques. hope that helps and happy painting friend~
@DrGreenfun8 жыл бұрын
Chrymoon bob Ross teacher used liquid black
@Maazzzo8 жыл бұрын
He tends to use clear and white for liquid coats - but since you have it, why not experiment with it and see what happens? Just cos Bob didn't use it doesn't mean you can't - they created it cos someone must have used it. Just give it a try and see what happens!
