This redwood leaning planter box is a great DIY project, and it is very sturdy. The design is elegant and the dado joint makes it very strong. For a faster, easier construction you can skip the dado joint, but it is much stronger and nicer-looking with the joint.
It's made out of 2x6 lumber and 7-1/2" wide fence boards.
The planter is great for raised bed gardening of smaller plants like herbs, beans, carrots, spinach, radishes, beets, cabbage, greens, or peas.
