loved this video, i've been looking for awhile for a hood how to and yay i found it. i made mine a bit longer and took the poncho pattern from your other video and sewed the hood onto it. every one asked where i bought it xD thank you for all your videos, you make crocheting more modern insted of me having to translate my grandmothers scribbles of her old patterns(:

Hi, Yes you only do it on the one row. you can do it on 2 rows if you need to make the hat larger...but after that it is 1 stitch in each
@tiffanidean609010 жыл бұрын
You are awesome. This is the first tutorial I've come across that shows going in between the stitches instead of the chain when working down the other side of the chain. The holes it leaves was a big problem I've had when making baby booties, and now I know how to fix that. Thank you!
@CrochetwithClare12 жыл бұрын
Yes I think you could, not to sure how to go about it.... you could make the hood first and then add the cowl/poncho to it
@ebonyheart9012 жыл бұрын
this is amazing i cant believe i'm doing this and only my second crochet project EVER! cant wait until part two.
@CrochetwithClare13 жыл бұрын
@manufacturedfracture ahh now i am with you. You coul;d make the inital chain longer to make the hood longer and then sew up the front seam a little or make a extra part at the front

This looks really cool, and I'd like to try one. Do you think it's possible to add a neck-warmer type thing to turn it into a pullover that drapes over the shoulders as well? I think that's called a cowl, but I'm not sure. It would cut down on wind let in near the top of the zipper on my coat.

@mcbarrios112 жыл бұрын
Hi there, thank you for all the tutorials, you have been my teacher since I started to crochet 4 mos ago. Questions on hood: when I get to the top do I continue to do 3 crochet until the hood is done? Or is it just once?
@CrochetwithClare12 жыл бұрын
Yes and also you didn't make enough chains at the beginning :)
@shellbeck665711 жыл бұрын
Hiya. Love this project. I'm half way through making one, however I'm curious about the braid/plait part. When you finished plaiting the yarn, and you just wind the short strand of yarn around the end of the plait, what stops this from being just pulled off? I'm making this for my niece who lives in the USA for her winter and can imagine this may come off during play time in school. Do you have any suggestions on how I can make the end of the plait more secure? Cheers.

U forgot to say how many chains u made🤔 I need an example of how many chains from the hat u made... I want to make one for a friend for her birthday 🙃It doesn't say on the pattern either
@CrochetwithClare7 жыл бұрын
In the video it tells you how long to make it, you will need to measure - I do not say how many chains because everyone is making it with different yarn, hook size and tension
