My goodness! Where has this show recording been hiding??? How amazingly tight was the band here? Plus, we get a tiny glimpse of what could have been with just a taste of Imaginos thrown in to tease us. My only complaint and it's very slight, is that the tempo for The Red and The Black was just a tad too fast. And they still nailed every note! Love BOC and they absolutely rocked here!

IMO, as good as his pipes still were in 1990, they were not at their peak as they were in 1975. By the time the concert at the Navy Pier was filmed in 2002, they were really suffering IMO. Listen to "Astronomy" on the 2002 concert compared to the "Live 1976" concert video. As bad as the audio quality was on the "Live 1976" video was, his pipes are no comparison between the two. They seemed to have recovered a bit, but some vocalists just "don't have the genes" to keep their pipes as they age. Still love the Cult though. Followed them ever since T&M was released in 1973.

I saw BOC in Dothan, AL at a club called Cowboys (I think 🤔 anyway). It was either late 1987 or early 88 and I was going through Army helicopter pilot training at nearby Ft. Rucker. Although I wasn’t a huge fan it was so cool to see a hard rock band that I was familiar with from my early high school years and the movie Heavy Metal, etc. It was especially cool to see a concert in such a small venue and a very welcome respite from the grueling Army regimen! This video really brings back that memory!

I agree..Been listening and watching since the 1st LP 71or72..The New Ham show was bitter sweet..They were all rehearsed for their upcoming tour that was basicly all cancelled bye to Covid. They're still making up dates from from that tour..I think Costa Mesa and Wild Horse Pass are 2 for sure..maby a few more. That was a tight show..I was happy for them..then it became the cancellation tour... For everybody.. I've known them personally since the late 70's...and The Driv-In sounded like the old days. Eric's voice and Buck's licks ..they were ready. Had tickets for the Phonix show and it was cancelled twice. It's back on again for I think the summer. I wished they would make the Texas southern swing the way they use to. Still not crazy about flying yet..Unless someone wants to split a private.

Then, it was priced so cheap to get rid of it, so I bought a copy and gave it to the DJ at the Million-Dollar Club in Windsor, Ontario, where the ladies danced completely nude to this music.
