​@@moerexe True... but why is only Chinese things gets translated name while other cultures' things gets a unique name in English? Even when other cultures borrow Chinese things they get to introduce those things to the west again with their own name, like gyoza and ramen are Chinese origin and the Japanese kanji names uses the same characters, but they get to keep their Japanese pronunciation in English while the Chinese versions just gets called dumplings and noodles - even though there are way more types of both in China, they all get called those generic names. A large part may be due to how Chinese words are made up of meaningful parts and that's how Chinese people understand them, they are not just some unique sequence of syllables for each new word like in English that you can only memorize. But that can't be all since Japanese also use the Chinese characters system, and they are fine with not translating for foreigners the names...

I feel like as well Yanqing feels like he needs to prove himself to Jing Yuan because he literally owes his life to Jing Yuan, who found him alone as a newborn. Yunli came from a family of forgers/Cloud Knight, who were eventually killed by a heliobus and then was taken in by Huaiyan. She was always going to be allowed to be a child while also experiencing the world of Cloud Knights, while yanqing would’ve literally died if Jing Yuan never found him.
