This probably my favourite song from Bocch the rock, the scene where they show the rooftop, library and the students going to watch the concert gave me absolute goosebumps!! (the electric guitar also shine in this song)

Thank you for these enjoying covers! I think this anime is full of love from anime workers, CVs, singers, musicians, and is spreading love to other music lovers, musicians and being the reason for those want to play guitar, play a bass, play drums, join a band or other ways to connect with music. Although I had experienced not in rock but in wind band this anime is really a masterpiece. And listening these songs in piano is really fun!
I hope you know that your work is always appreciated and your piano skills are amazing!

Would you ever consider adding fingerings to your sheet music? I'm not sure how others would feel, but honestly I'd be willing to pay more for versions of your sheet music with the fingerings (like in technique books where they include some important ones). I really want to learn a lot of your covers, but since I don't have a teacher (broke college student), it's sometimes a bit difficult to figure out the fingerings myself. Really fabulous cover by the way!!
@HalcyonMusic Жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot! I do add fingerings to my sheets for sections that I think is tricky. Is there a section particular you're struggling with?
@ketnon Жыл бұрын
Wow, thanks for the quick response!! To answer your question, its not necessarily a specific section, but more rather just in general. I stopped playing piano about 6 years ago, and I was only around ABRSM grade 6, so I was around low-intermediate level. I've been trying to relearn, and while I am getting back a lot of my old technique, it is difficult for me to know what is the correct fingering or not. I've been using my old piano books to relearn, one of which being James Bastien's Piano Literature Vol. 4. If you look at some of the pictures online, you can see how the start of patterns have general fingerings on them. I've been following your channel for a while now since your covers are always so amazing, and I've always been really tempted to try to learn your covers myself. However, I've been really hesitant on purchasing sheet music for covers in general, since often I feel like while the piece itself isn't technically difficult and I should be able to play it, it takes way too long for me to figure out proper fingering. I have purchased of few of your sheets, and while the included fingerings are helpful, if there were more included, I would definitely feel more comfortable trying to learn more pieces. I do understand if adding that much would be too much work, especially since it's probably catered toward more experienced pianists. @@HalcyonMusic

Thanks for letting me know. Indeed making fingering notations is a lot of work. If I remember correctly, in classical music, some published works even had a dedicated editor-in-charge just working on the fingering suggestions! I wasn't sure what's a good approach to writing fingering since I didn't study music engraving in details, so I just stick to my instincts and notate the parts where I feel someone learning would have trouble. Thanks for your feedback and it's really appreciated :)
@ketnon Жыл бұрын
haha thats okay then, I didn't realize that's how time consuming it was that they had whole editors just for that. really appreciate the work you do anyways, ur one of the big inspirations for why I got back into piano! went from listening to your 100 song medleys while studying to relearning so i can learn ur covers :)) @@HalcyonMusic
