The greatest feature of the whole anime is that whenever a comedic or anxious moment occurs, the art style loses all consistency whatsoever. The characters change, the expressions become delusional, sometimes even the medium changes to claymation or puppets. Its absolutely wonderful and I understand that is 100% a conscious choice.

Something amazing is that the band is called kessoku band (which they mention means zip tie) but its perfect because if they ever make a dub of this they can change the name to "rubber band" as it makes essentially the same pun but with a slightly different item that is similar in function

since the days of k-on!, whenever music and anime mixes, I've gotta watch it... Bocchi the Rock! in my opinion is just as epic and memorable. not only do they make fun of all the stereotypes that emerged over the years, but they also have a great take of their own jokes, and I personally just love it whenever Bocchi's emotions and imagination are getting blown off proportions in so many different styles of art, ranging from stop-motion, realistic, moe, 3d and anything in between. Somehow, this also reminds me of my own little thought process that goes inside my head every now and then What's more, the protagonist (Bocchi) isn't a complete beginner like every other show (take Yui from k-on for example), she's an actual pro who can play a solo with a glass cup when her cord tears down. Not to mention - every good music anime in the genre is ought to produce some good songs as well, few are those that can make you want to listen to each of their songs time after time. in short - here's hoping for a second season!
