I love this scape. I don't think I've ever seen a 32 gallon long rimless tank. Is it custom? Fish and plants all look amazing!

I'm about to start putting together a 20 gallon long project. This tank is a nice inspiration for that. Though I am planning on going with a school of choprae danios, 1 dwarf gourami and a small group of hillstream loaches. Great tank. I love the red, black and everything else you have going here.

This tank is so perfect it almost looks AI created. The plants are stunning. And the fish perfectly represent their species. This is one of the reasons I mention you in a couple of my videos so maybe some people who haven't seen yours will check them out. I also added some Brazilian pennywort to 2 of my tanks and I really love them. And you're right about them falling apart during shipping. I ordered some and the ends tuned to mush. I'm trying to save them in a 10 gallon tank but I ended up buying good ones from our local Petco that I picked out myself that are doing great. Vallisneria is the plant that keeps giving. I started out with a dozen and now have lots of it and transplanted many into other tanks.

Tank looks great. Even though little crowded at the moment everyone seems to be getting along just fine. I dont have any livebearers. I might try some in my next tank. I just have to figure out where the next tank can go first!

As always, this looks fantastic-I'm not just saying that, it’s truly living art and belongs in a gallery! I noticed you have a hillstream loach. What’s your overall opinion on them as an "algae eater"? The reason I ask is that I notice a lot of other KZbinrs list them in the top 5 algae eaters, but I’d say ours are more of a biofilm/detritus eater. They do eat some algae, I guess, but I’m not sure we would rank them among the top 5. That said, with all the different types of algae, it’s hard to pick a top five unless you narrow it down to a specific type of algae... and even then, it’s tough to pick a definitive top five. So many tangents! What are your thoughts on this, Stefan, def appreciate your opinion?
@LushSaltyAquariums
@LushSaltyAquariums Ай бұрын
@@Aquadiction Well, let me start by saying that this tank has very little if any algae present but how much of that I attribute to hill stream loach is likely minimal. I think plants are healthy and abundant plants probably the number one algae reliever that often is not put on those top 5 clickbait lists. My fave animal algae eaters would also include black Molly which doesn’t get on said lists either. Every one of my tanks has numerous snails, shrimp and otos so I believe in them more than loach. I got the loaches because they are so interesting and easy to keep.

I also just cut the leaves of jungle vals with a scissor. Though, there comes a time that I will NEED to remove entire plants because they just get too thick after so many trimming.
@LushSaltyAquariums
@LushSaltyAquariums Ай бұрын
I cut them with scissors as well. But pulling the entire length like eyelashes does circumvent the actual plant getting too big. Try it!
@MorningDriftwood
@MorningDriftwood Ай бұрын
@@LushSaltyAquariums I don't have a problem with them getting big. They send out runners and these new plants plant themselves between the established growths. In my experience, this creates a very thick clump of multiple plants wherein some of them become these unsightly yellow-and-curly-leafed vals. I guess I should've documented the case but as of now, I don't have vals in most of my display tanks anymore.
@MorningDriftwood

maybe, I have a different species but most of them look alike as individual plants so it's hard to know.
