To the people who have no idea what he's talking about when he says "zeros" or "poles," the denominator of the s-terms are called zeros and/or poles. When the s-term is in the numerator of the transfer function, they're called "zeros." When the s-term is in the denominator, its denominator value is a "pole." Alternatively, you can think of it as the inverse of the s-term coefficients. 40[1+(1/10)s] / [[0+(1/1)s]*[1+(1/50)s]*[1+(1/200)s]] The inverse of (1/10) is 10, and it's in the numerator of the transfer function, so it's a "zero" at 10. The inverse of :(1/1) = 1, (1/50) = 50, (1/200) = 200, and they are all in the denominator of the the transfer function, so there are "poles" at 1, 50, and 200 Additionally, the terms in the numerator of the transfer function always have a positive slope, while the terms in the denominator always have a negative slope.

Yes, because a decade earlier at w = 0.1, the response is 20db higher. at w = 1, the response is 32 db. This is all because the pole at the origin. I am not a perfectionist and it is possible that I make mistakes, but this one was correct. cheers !!!

Why isn't the zero at negative 10 and why aren't the poles at -50 and -200?
@TheMaciekm6 жыл бұрын
Well it's late but maybe sb will need it. I don't know the exact theory behind it, but when we do the Bode plots, unlike with root locus', we have (or need to obtain) 1+t*s elements, where 1/t is the corner frequency for the amplitute Bode, and 1/10t and 10t are where the phase plot starts/ends.
