Extracted from Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche's Shedra talk Sunday Morning September 11, 2011, this clip focuses on how Bodhicitta provides some perspective for our lives. Without Bodhicitta, or the wish to benefit others, we are lost in a featureless desert with no future or past. However, when we have the universal care of Bodhicitta, we have some relief from our personal suffering and a direction for our lives. Bodhicitta is the cause for enlightenment for all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Embracing it personally allows us to share that orientation.
