Bodmin & Wenford Railway (18.07.2024)

A day at the Bodmin & Wenford Railway in Cornwall with trips down to Boscarne Junction and Bodmin Parkway behind GWR No.5553 'Small Prairie' on Thursday 18th July 2024.

Traveling with Tony, I have seen heritage railways that I had never yet encountered, seen glorious scenery that’s relatively easy to replicate in model form and I love every moment of watching them.

Nice to see the small Prairie being used on some of the heritage railways. I’ve seen them on this video AND the Devon line. Love it!! This is truly the history of trains.

When I visited the railway back in 09 I saw 55xx NO.5552 and this was before it went for restoration in 2011...

Yes!! I prefer steam to diesel, but I understand the historical value of both. May the steam locomotive last for many decades to come, and the diesel locomotive take over in terms of the future.
