Thank you for this video. I just graduated from my cheap beginner bow and picked the Slick Stick. Should be a lot of fun for me for years.

@@Trickydickysticky I love it. It shoots so nice but it isn’t as forgiving so it made me better.

They are normally 58" but I found a 60" slick stick a couple years ago in 50# it's my go to bow. Draws smooth, quiet. Shoots better than I ever can!

This is awesome. I ended up purchasing a Mohawk Hybrid. A decision which was certainly partially inspired by your videos. The Mohawk is awesome, and I have decided to try out a slick stick as a hunting bow, due to the fact that my 68" longbow is just too much for a tree stand, or any type of cover for that matter. I was somewhat hesitant about whether or not I should go with wood arrows or carbon with the Slick Stick, so I decided to check out your review and now feel confident with using wood. So thanks for that and for all your vids. Great stuff!

MrSuperArrowhead.. I couldn't reply directly to your question for some reason.. but YES the tips are suitable for Fast Flight.. the Bodnik Whisper String come as standard with it.. bodnik/Bearpaw are making all their main bows fastflight safe.

What did you mean when you said, "They asked me about a name."? Your remark was at 5:48. Did they let you name it? Love the great videos, BTW. Thanks for your time, Wolfie.

I wish you had done a chrono test. I'm curious about its speed but just by looking how fast the arrows reach the target, It looks pretty fast. (plus those wooden arrows you used do not look feather light)

TheDayne How do you like the bow? I'm thinking of buying one myself
@TheDayne
@TheDayne 9 жыл бұрын
It's a nice little bow, very handy and very fast, good for 3d shooting in the woods. I have one critique point though: the handle is very small, too small for my big hands, I'm having a hard time getting a consistent grip with it. I suggest you try out the handle at your local bow shop, and see if it fits for you, before you buy it. My friend also has a Slick Stick and for him it is perfect (he has smaller hands than me and likes the handle a lot).

Thanks for the reply. I've heard that is one draw back to the Slick Stick. I've read some people were able to help that issue adding a wrap to the handle. My hands aren't particularly large, I just have long fingers. Unfortunately I don't have a bow shop near me that carries Bodnik bows so Ill have to take my chances.
@TheDayne
@TheDayne 9 жыл бұрын
Yes, that may very well help with the issue, never thought about that. I think i will give this a try and post a video in my channel about how it worked out, you're welcome to check back if you want. Btw: i've got some videos where I'm shooting with my 40# Slick Stick on my channel if you want to get some impressions! Cheers

Just picked up the exact bow, shot it at a show and fell in love with it. Question: what is your point weight and spine on your arrows? I’ve converted some older compound arrows for the time being and there is a lot to be desired.

hey wolfie , what spine do you advice for this bow ? ( my draw is actualy between 27"and 28 ".)for a carbon arrow ( sorry)

If you were choosing between a 45lb one of these at 58" and a timber creek cottonmouth at 62" inches. I assume the shorter slick stick would be quicker but the longer cottonmouth more forgiving. The question is would it be much of a noticeable difference for an average shooter with only a 27" draw.

Mark Fortnam well ...I haven't shot the timber Creek.. but I found the slick stick consistent regardless of length... my friend Jason has this one now.. and he loves it still...

I don’t know if you still make videos or look at your KZbin page. But I was thinking of buying the slick stick or the quick stick. Or if you have another bow you like a lot better. Can you message me and give me your thoughts. I was thinking of buying a 50lbs

Considering it's a 58" bow , I was wondering if the arc of the string makes it harder for a clean release. Really looking forward to buying a slick stick but I don't know if I should get a custom slick stick that's a few inches long ( not sure if possible or how much it will cost in plus) or if it's good as it is. 14 yo 175 cm tall draw lenght of 27".

I can draw friend's Slick Stick to 32"" without stacking. Also no finger pinch as far as I can tell. I only feel the string on my fingers' sides with my 50"" Bodnik Ghost

Hi Wolfie :) My wife and I have been following your excellent videos for some time now. I did noticed that you mentioned that your wife used a 25 lbs bodnik bow, didn't you? We have been shooting for little less than a year now and we think it's time to go past beyond our first bows. My wife is small-frame and can handle 30 lbs but nothing more. Would you recommend the 30lbs Slick Stick to her? or even the 25 lbs Slick Stick? Thanks!

Franklin Quijote dude if it’s your first bow maybe go a little lighter. Get a black hunter with hybrid limbs, they are around £100. Learn to shoot with that bow then go and buy a bodnik. I’m shooting a bodnik Mohawk hunter with hybrid limbs. It’s sweet. Enjoy dude

What is the weight of arrows do you shoot? I'm a true novice and when I got the 20 inch 45# bow It was really loud with quite significant handshock.... which was, well... shocking! Took it to archery store and they shot some heavy arrows out of it and it was soon quiet! The one' I was shooting when loud were 600 spine, probably something in the range of 6gpi and 100-125 screw in field point... So what could you recommend here knowing the bow so well... should I shoot a heavier arrow... could that really be the issue leading to handshock and for it to be found... like high pitched BONG when I shoot?

30 year warranty, perhaps. I bought a black widow bow and they said they could make you a new set of limbs by simply sending you the numbers on your bow. When I called to do so , they told me, they had gone to a new process and I had to send my bow to do this. Talk is cheap! I will never buy there product again.
