While the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office called it a "challenging decision, but one that was necessary given the circumstances," body camera footage from the deputies who shot and killed 64 roosters paints a different picture, with the animal control officer stating: "I just hate the whole trying to save everything."

I worked in the pet industry, I've owned a farm and raised birds for 4H, meat, and eggs. And, I raised birds in various settings, from micro to commercial. I've also worked with rescues. They lied, there's no middle ground or grey area. So, why does this fraud, being a person who's proven they thrive on seeing animals killed, have such a job? If they were as asserted, they couldn't be in the same pen. An agressive bird will chase until it drops dead or makes it's point. So... proved they know nothing about birds, public safety, animal welfare, animal husbandry, and are seemingly prone to killing animals for entertainment. At the least, could have given them up to process for meat.

They are literally trained to write reports to justify their use force not to factually represent the events that occurred and the situations and conditions that existed. Whats more is that the records are automatically considered factual records. Furthermore it’s a felony to make false statements and false narratives on those documents even though it is routinely systematically done. So I'd suggest that the cost would be pretty close to even steven with the cost of the ammunition. We have three roosters on our property. They get in fights sometimes. But because we have a HUGE rooster, a medium small one, and a teeny bantam rooster, they all understand the hierarchy and get along just fine.
