Question: The welding is have to be air tight to not start rusting and 2 years later you have to re-do the job is my experiense. Can the fibreglass postphone that process to 15 -20 years?? Weld 100% air tight is the preffered way to go but still.

All throughout my Construction career, I have been a Journeyman Concrete finisher, Plasterer, and drywall taper, I have never used bondo or filler on a car, but after watching you, I’m pretty sure my lengthy experience with the different muds, I think I could pull this off ! ✌️😎 thanks Chad

I always appreciate the body work you do, I can weld metal and form it to look good, but i need to learn how to fill it better. I've not done a whole lot of that stage of the work. Thank you Chad for showing us the proper way to get it done the fastest way. And Jolene, I really like your smooth camera work. Outstanding you are.

My favorite videos you do is bodywork days! Being a body man for 25 years I agree it does not get appreciated enough. TV shows skip it completely and because of that body people don't get the respthey deserve. Please believe bitchin rides, extensive metal works, etc. ALL coat the entire vehicles. Don't kid yourself thinking they don't. Thank you so much Chad for showing the work it takes to get show cars perfect.

You kind of remind me of my older brother. He never went to schooling on anything on cars. He self taught himself. Working on cars ,kits, oldies is fun. But you learn from your mistakes. And in your eyes you judge how it is. And what you want it to be. And I asked him one day. When he cut the rear wheel to the trunk out on a 63 stingray. And glassed it to perfection. Painted it candy apple red." How many hours in this project"! Too many he replied. Watching you work you do a awesome job!! And you explain very well.

I wasn't sure about the rear window at first but it is starting to grow on me. I thought Chad may do a wraparound rear window since he made a plexiglass windshield for the car. It is really coming together nicely. Really excited that we are going to see the Bugatti come together in the coming weeks. It is going to be a beautiful car. Keep the videos coming.

It's interesting to watch you work body filler. I was a bodyman (collision repair) for 20 years and we always sanded between layers of filler because we were told it wouldn't stick if you didn't sand between coats. Looking back on it I have to say you are correct, it sticks very well without sanding between coats, I know this because I had a little bondo monster I made with the bits of extra filler that I didn't need for the car. Always mixing to much I never had to worry about not having enough and having to mix more. :)

Your videos are very informative. I can believe that a number of young men and women are being inspired by your information and start on a career or hobby working on cars. If a mechanic would follow your instructional videos and produce mechanical videos, the process would be complete. Perhaps Jolene could be hired as the camerawoman and producer. It would be great if Jim would do the mechanical videos.

In the discussion of the fact that the Jaguar was a interference engine it would appear that the dialogue between SJim and Chad suggested a bent valve would result in incorrect timing. There would be no incorrect timing involved as the timing chain and cam gears would still be in original alignment: the bent valve would have precluded proper combustion to occur. Have I missed something (perhaps a revision of the original comment?) I am 89 next Feb and have twisted wrenches as a hobbyist since I was 14: I am generally unable to stand and my pleasure in enjoying automotive challenges resolved is now only vicarious. I am finding Chad and Jolene a absolute treasure and am amazed at the techniques so generously shared! May I suggest that Mullins Auto Museum be looked up and visited 'on line'? There you will see the foremost collection of the French autos of the 1920's through the post WWII era. This includes numerous Bugattis including the Aeronautique as is being replicated by Chad. Continued success and Best Wishes for 2022 to all!

If you use a cheese grader when it starts to soften and before it get hard. To knock all the nubs off it will shape the car flat. Old body mans trick. And it will cut your time when you get ready to sand . Less sanding. Love your show.
