Bodyboarders find a haven for waves during treacherous storm swell (RAW Bodyboarding)

A local favourite switches on during hazardous surf conditions along the east coast of NSW Australia. Bodyboarders and surfers rush from the car park and onto this reef that cranks out wave after wave for them nonstop. Riders of all skill levels got plenty of barrel + trick practice as their wave time in this session was at an all time high. What a great day to be out!

Bodyboarding / surfing waves on reefs, in remote locations around Australia and Bali. I love both novelty and big waves! With everything that's going on in the world right now, there's nothing like getting into some waves and surf to take us away from it all. Self-isolation in some deep barrels is a valid way of social distancing!
I love exploring new waves in new locations and I love bring my viewers along my journey. Sometimes it get's sketchy as some of the waves I surf (shallow reefs, dry reefs, deep ocean slabs) get pretty gnarly. God I miss body boarding! I grew up in Victoria surfing anywhere from Torquay to Wilson's prom. These days due to injuries and needing surgeries I can't surf anymore. Bodyboarding really was the best therapy I ever experienced! Never take being able to do it for granted.

I saw you get clobbered, you recovering well???? A shoutout to all - Whale beach north Sydney next to the buoy (as the seppos say). Not much of a secret so im not breaking ethics, stick within a meter or 2 of the buoy and you'll get a short sick below-sea-level slab on the low tide.
