I'm 48 and haven't bodyboarded since the late 80's when i rode a Mach 7-7 so i been researching and now i'm 100kg (220lbs for you yanks haha) so been looking at a 45" Funkshen 'The Tank' board. I want one of those Custom X 'beast' boards he's holding in the video but i live in south western Australia (near Yallingup and Margaret River if u have heard of those surf towns) and can't find any of them in Australia at all so going with the The Tank funkshen board i reckon. I'm started again because i'm a Support Worker and one client wants to go every shift so i better buy one. I've been skateboarding ever since i quit bb at 16yo after a shark incident freaked me out but now skating has taken its toll on my body so i bought a surfboard and now will get a bb too. If there's anything advice u have i'd like to hear it, thanks

I use the exact same Mori boogie bodyboard that you used when I was in my early twenties. I attached to scags to the board so when I'm carving across the face I can stay up closer to the lip and won't slip down to the bottom of the wave. Have fun I know I always did.

NMD make a Mach 7-7 template (and thickness) board specifically for a shop here in the U.K. which uses all the great (better quality) newer materials.. ..Maybe worth checking with them to see if they can offer anything similar for you in Aus?

Cuidate Alex

Mistake #6: Using the boogie board your children abandoned when they grew up!
@mdpgaming68894 жыл бұрын
Never buy the ones that look like they made out of stirephome cause it will snap after a couple waves. The good ones are the ones where there's plastic underneath.
@BodyboardSchool4 жыл бұрын
If you spend under £40 you can expect the board to bend a lot or even snap. This is dangerous and ofcourse bad for the environment. Pay a little more and they will last for a long time!

@@BodyboardSchool also I went with a 50 dollar board made of eps core with a leash since we don’t go to the beach often and he’s barely begging I’ll most likely get him a better one in the future

Yeah i'm a 100kg (which i just looked up is 220lbs) so i'm looking at getting a 45" Funkshen 'The Tank' which is designed for us bigger (and me older) coz i haven't ridden since the late 80's when i was 16 and had a Morey Mach 7-7 which i hear are collectors items now ? Anyway hope it all worked out for you.

This video is incredibly unhelpful. The majority of what he's suggesting is based around YOU going to HIS shop. He treated this like a promotional video for his shop with very little information for people who are nowhere near his business or ever will be.
