As a person with a degree in exercise science, they're bodies are incredibly indicative of how they train. There is no need of hierarchy or comparing the two. Its actually interesting to and a good reminder of how our bodies adapt to a stimulus.

Love this series and seeing different examples of realistic fitness and body types. It's insane that So. Many. People. Feel entitled to judge a women's fitness/health solely by external appearance (yes I know men are judged too, but the appearance of women's bodies are uniquely pressurized in our society). I'd also really like to see some of the recipes you were showing in a little more detail. It looked like some good stuff 👌

Great fun video, but a bit annoying to have the experience generalised that runners can eat whatever they want and need to eat as much as they can; I've been an avid runner for years, about 40 miles a week, quite tall and on the higher end of a healthy weight, and I have to watch everything I eat. If I eat much over 2000 calories a day I will gain weight. So I don't think you can just blanket one person's metabolism to a whole group! As it is frustrating for us not so blessed 🤣

Yessss, thank you for saying this! I love running, but I'm nowhere near naturally thin 😂 This lady is clearly naturally thin, so she'll never know the struggle!

And the older I get the less leeway I have. I can run a lot and still gain weight if I don’t pay attention to the quality of my diet.
@leahmcdermott41892 жыл бұрын
I understand but I also do get the generalisation. I’m not a runner but I do run frequently, 5x a week. Running is so therapeutic for me and I lost 40lbs doing it (along with cutting out junk). Now I’m BMI 21 and whilst it used to be easy for me to put on weight, I find now I naturally maintain no matter what I eat, as long as I keep to my workout routine. It’s wild as hell to me. But I probably just eat less and healthier now so I’m not sluggish during runs haha 💞
@ClaireEmilia2 жыл бұрын
It’s because you are lacking muscle mass which also burns calories when you are doing nothing
@amberdavies86092 жыл бұрын
@@ClaireEmilia not true, I strength train 5 times a week and have done for years. That's my point, you can't generalise and make assumptions about people based in nothing but the sport they love. Also, that wasn't the point I'm making anyway. The generalisation was that runners have to eat loads, that's simply not true in every case, muscle mass wasn't a factor mentioned

From what I understand she seems like you was eating for prep bc most of us eat waayyy more carbs. Im cutting at 2,200 cals and I eat way more than what she's eating. so she may be prepping for a contest and a lot of woman eat like 1,200-1,500. Plus she looks short and that can affect her cals as well. I'm tall so that's how I get to eat so much
@jonahinthewild Жыл бұрын
It seems like the body builder was on prep, but also, running is really intense cardio. The average “runner” will burn upwards of 1-2k calories a run. Running really requires you to eat a lot
