@wvrjl8 ай бұрын
@@MastersReMASTER- Seriously? Lots of people with learning disabilities have no problem killing people. Yes, her job is DEFINITELY gone. Having a learning disability is NOT an excuse for making threats, ESPECIALLY when she actually has a gun with her (which she clearly had no problem acquiring)!!!!! Most learning disabilities (ones that aren't extreme) don't prevent people from working, managing their anger properly, and owning their own business. I know someone with a learning disability who's a millionaire. He ran his own businesses after saving money from working, and raising a family. It's only a real impediment, in cases like this, if you choose it to be (except in extreme instances where people can't live on their own). You may have to take longer, or work around something. But a nondescript learning disability won't prevent her from managing her emotions properly, but she needs to work at it. Otherwise, she should NOT own a gun. And no doctor is just going to say "a learning disability," so I wouldn't blindly trust her on that either. My half brother has learning disabilities, but it shouldn't have stopped him from anything if his mother didn't drill the opposite into his head!

eventually it comes out that she didn't threaten anyone, they told her she couldn't yell at her boss, and she said if she didn't vent daily by yelling at him, "I'd have to shoot him". She's literally talking about the alternate way of dealing with anger they're trying to lecture her about
@lisaann97516 ай бұрын
She was being reprimanded because it's not really appropriate to be venting at coworkers by yelling at them. Therefore, since she was being told by her manager and others that she could not continue to do that, using her own words and logic - she was, in fact, threatening to shoot that person. The police absolutely should have been called, especially since she was sitting in her vehicle, for quite a while after her quitting time, with a loaded gun within her reach.

I honestly feel bad for the woman. She clearly has learning/developmental disabilities, and life hasn't dealt her a great hand, but she's still out there putting in honest work at an honest job to try and survive. She seemed to open up and trust the cop in the car with her (who was an overall excellent human being). I'm glad he was able to make her understand why she couldn't say things like she said, and expect them to not be taken seriously. I genuinely believe she didn't understand the severity of what she said, and wasn't able to comprehend that others couldn't put themselves in her mind to know she wasn't really planning on hurting anyone (which I don't believe she was). The cop was able to keep her calm, gain her trust, empathize with her and give great advice. And even though she's clearly challenged, she seemed to take it in. I hope she get's the help she needs in life, and the cop gets the recognition he deserves.

I think she has some cognitive disabilities but she has actually tried to self regulate. Notice how she first admitted that she was trying to release frustration to prevent behavior. So she knows she's getting angry and she's trying to stave it off. See how she doesn't understand that she made a threat. I feel bad for her but management has to take her comments seriously. Listening to the comments, it's not technically a threat, she was explaining why she yells. But the fact that she has firearms didn't help. Walmart doesn't want the liability.
