It wasnt a pipe bomb. Dude had a mini meth cook that bombed because he didnt "burp" it. You can see the U shaped pvc assembly that the cop moves just before it goes. Thats where the phrase "the bomb" came from, thats what good meth used to be called because lots of people blew themselves up trying to cook it.

Why go to the effort to make a shake and bake that doesn't open? It's clearly a chlorine bomb, with a valve separating the two reactants. You can shake and bake with a soda bottle, making this pressurised contraption makes no sense. It also had "Safe" and "arm" written on the valve.

It was not a shake and bake meth cook nor was it a pipe bomb, it was a poisonous gas bomb. The point was not to injure with shrapnel but with poisonous gas. And the officer probably would have been much more seriously injured if the it had been an enclosed space and he had inhaled more of it. And that's what they described it as in the police report. The valve was literally labeled safe and armed. The officer picked it up and without reading the label he switched it from safe to armed and then set it back down. The tweaker was probably going to use it as a booby trap that's probably the reason he had a rope tied around his gun as well. P.s. If I was the officer I would have opened a can of police brutality on him until he told me what was in the bomb.

so less then a week ago i started looking into shake and bake and how to do it. i watched dozens of videos including the one X plays at the end and that one was actually one of the most informative and helpful at teaching the process which is funny considering it was made by the fucking police. even watching it be done inside a lab by scientists there were miniature explosions inside the bottle. unfortunately i couldn't find anything that informed me of the ratio of ingredients used but you'd be surprised how easy it is and the meth you make from shake an bake is actually extremely potent which was surprising to here. eventually decided to take a guy from R/meths advice and just buy 1G instead of cooking it myself an risking being charged as a meth cook instead of just a user.
