To say the audio is not realistic is to say you’ve never shot guns in houses, outside, in a forest or anywhere else that isn’t a flat range. Right. Didnt play this game or nor I am hardcore gamer with 1000 fps games on my belt, so my opinion may be invalid, but I didnt play many games which tried to be perfect with gun sound design. Many games does not make any difference in gunshots indoors and outdoors. Thats what I liked on TLOU 2. That game has rly nice sound design imo, especially indoors sometimes gunshots sound violently and brutally and you can feel them inflicting pain, which is rare. Also Tarkov can have some nice gunsound

I'm tired of playing FPS games where I'm getting beamed by people and if you've ever used a gun in any sort of combat training, you realize accuracy is the first thing to go when you're in a stressful situation. I absolutely love the weapons mechanics, the horror experience of using a flashlight in a pitch black map, and love the weather that changes. Also if you die while a light is on on your gun it will illuminate the direction you were facing. You can turn your light in and drop your weapon and then switch to a sidearm to cause a mini diversion or keep a hallway lit. It’s honestly such a dope game. Plus after you die you become a spectator drone and can call out enemy players using the drone. I freaking love this game. And the fact that only two kids created a game that’s more fun than battlefield 2042 is hilarious. The future of gaming is exciting!

I think that a way to fix the camera delay feeling would be a way to turn it on / off quickly. So like you could be running around with your camera centered, but then you come to a corner and then uncenter your camera to get a more fluid turn of the corner.

"when the realism starts to detract from the gameplay" that's my only issue with Star citizen, they have an odd focus of trying to go TOO real. I don't want another job, and I don't want to fly a spaceship for real... the whole point of playing a game is that I don't have to be limited by all that pesky realism stuff... this is why games put toilets in, but never a urination, menstrual nor BM cycles (though perhaps they should, games where you're running from monsters would be completely different if you had to figure out a way to hide your human waste to prevent them from tracking you)

Imagine what call of duty 2019 could have been if they didn't half-ass it they had an excellent vision but failed on the execution. You can't "copycat" a game that isn't even out. Your main gripe in the whole first half is that Bodycam is a copycat. What did they copy? Some UE plugins and openly available marketplace map assets? To much Distortion fx on screen during gameplay i have a 4090 strix and i9 13th gen and everything on epic and a bunch of scratchy distorted fx on screen that i do not see on others gameplay and there isn't a setting to turn off the distorted screen fx or am i missing somethjing? also in the middle of gameplay edges of camera look like double vision?

i’m a top 0.002% player with similar max settings, max volume to all effects. I don’t cheese any settings at all like raising brightness or lowering graphics. You can adapt to the effects (and sometimes use them to your advantage against other players). My best is advice is to not give too much attention to the effects. Focus on what’s in front of you, your position, and the sounds of your surroundings through the gunfire.

@@1xBossup I've watched real life body camera footage multiple times and ive never seen scratchy distortion marks everywhere, the scratchy distorted flickering marks everywhere is extremely noticeable in pitch black or dark areas, i understand the fisheye lense, quality and blured edges but not the addon distorted fx in dark areas

IMHO Bodycam absolutely is cashing in on the popularity of Unrecord (and the whole body cam style of game). The problem I have with Bodycam as it's $30 ($40CAD for me) and that's just priced out of world based on the history of the team (none). Some people call it an asset flip and it uses all UE assets but there needs to be a lot of extra code that should be added to make it stand out. As well it's very out-of-the-box Unreal Engine and needs a lot of work. So for that it's not worth $30 to me.

Game is fun but limited atm. Im having a blast as the rush you get is unlike sny other shooter but it can get stale considering they only have TDM and DM and only a few good maps. Keep an eye out though, when more stuff is added to the progression and mechanics and game types this game will be really special.

the thing is, that having this "real life" scenarios would also be a breath of fresh air instead of having the billionst iteration of dust 2 with different coating, because it would also be the possibility for a different gameplay experience. The thing is that this game more or less has no real gameplay. And i mean that in a sense of, there is no balancing or gamefication at all - its player controls and maps at the moment just "released". And this brings a kind of "rawness" to it that some people might love and others do not - like arma for example that goes way overboard with the simulation aspect for many people. The big point for the devs would be to establish a vision gameplaywise. How should it play? should the maps be balanced? if not how will the game itself be balanced? is there a sideswitch, what gamemodes can be supported with this style of game? Do players need more tools to counter the "problems" of realistic maps, like nightvision? If the game caters to a more "hardcore" audience, should other parts of the game also be more hardcore? Is Deathmatch then the right gamemode? and so on. Still an impressive project and again i like the innovations coming from indie devs these times

unrercord is a pve campaign game and not even available to play..bodycam is a multiplayer pvp game...many people werenever gonna buy unrecord when those same people would def get Bodycam cause of pvp..its a straight up multi-player game...and the controller for this game is amazing, unique and puishing the genre forward..you just have to get good, no its not the same as other shooters, but those gamesdont have realistic contorllers, this have a very ralistic player controller..moving the genre froward..its about time

The point is unrecord released some videos, and NOTHING else. It's might as well be vaporware at this point. These 2 guys were inspired by it and released an "early release" which is basically a beta, what the hell is the excuse from unrecord devs. 2 guys released a playable pvp game, and from the looks of it unrecord was a scam teaser trailer looking for investors. I would love to play a demo, since it's a very unique style of game I don't feel comfortable buying it blind. Certainly has a lot of potential and they could go even deeper into realism by adding surface penetration ballistics and realistic bullet impact animations / some degree of destruction. They should keep refining their work, looks good so far.

I honestly hate maps that are designed for fps because then it just becomes memorizing all the different choke points and murder holes and no real firefights are ever on even ground where both sides have tactical advantages, a realistic game requires maps that seem ridiculous for a firefight scenario because that’s usually when firefights happen in a ridiculous untimely unfair manner

I would like to see maps get reworked, some are very unbalanced. Currently all of them are just three lane maps which can be easily abused like just sitting in your spawn until someone appears in one of the lanes. If they open the maps up a bit more, add more lanes would help. Game is still fun though.

I honestly don't care who came up with the idea first. The distinct feature of both games is use of unreal engine to get realistic lighting and buying realistic environments. It comes down to who can release it first which these two devs definitely won. Now that they've raised some capital, hopefully they actually invest in contracting environment artists and other developers to flesh out a fully developed game. Playing it was honestly pretty fun as I found their movement and aiming system unique for a "tactical fps shooter", and it was pretty fun for 10-15 minutes which just proves that they just need to finish the game itself to solidify their position. I was pretty close to refunding the game after I got "bored" but saw the developers were hard at work with hotfixing certain bugs immediately which gave me enough confidence to just hold onto the game and see how far they develop it.

I hate the "cam" part of bodycam style shooters. Ditch the fisheye, vignette effects. Eyeballs are not cameras and dont see things the same way. Our brains actively cancel out those things because they make it harder to see. Dont even get me started on chromatic aberration and film grain, which are exclusive to cameras and videographers and optics engineers have been trying to mitigate/remove for decades.

The gun audio, although realistic...it's not fun for your ears. Also, the movement and gunplay isn't as smooth as Unrecord, since that game looks less nauseating than Bodycam. I hope these devs try to compete with Ready Or Not, I want PvE in true bodycam style gameplay. Hopefully they get Nvidia to implement DLSS features and Ray Reconstruct, because it's really noisy in dark areas and sometimes that noise will make enemies blend in with it.

Bro u have to play with the settings .. I have a gtx 1660 ti and I get 120 fps ultra high performance and no quality option and it looks great for a minimum GPU urs should look better and feel way nicer than mine of u play with the graphics settings
