Wow he is such a great teacher. I love how in depth he went with instructing the techniques. Anyone can show someone how to do something, but it takes a great teacher to explain the process in a way that is easy to understand and replicate.

Teaching to adults it's quite an art and it takes LOTS of patient! BRAVO because I could NEVER be that patient with adults. Interrupting and acting like they know more than the teacher!
@hulabird10 жыл бұрын
Not only that but the disrespectful, disinterested turd sitting there braiding his hair, not paying the first level of attention. SMH
@BodyologyMassageSchool7 жыл бұрын
Ah, we like the interruption as this is way to learn! Students just need to ask questions to see if they understand. we take it in a good spirit.

I fully agree. This classroom seems +50% full of uselessly enrolled students that I would never want to be treated by as a paying massage client.

Thank you for sharing. I have been out of school since 2013, so this was great to experience the class room atmosphere again. The questions and comments are helpful in a learning environment. I needed a refresher, and also new ideas for deeper work, and different strokes than I already use.

@BodyologyMassageSchool3 жыл бұрын
you might go too far with your forearm. Try to do small movements with your forearm. Once you are going too far, move with your whole body towards the forearm so you never overstretch your back.

Thank you for reminding me how to work with the forearm instead of the elbow
@BodyologyMassageSchool11 жыл бұрын
I prefer on the back to work with forearm, elbow most time will be too much so the erector spinea muscles will contract on the client and we have not achieved much relaxation...I use the elbow on the glut area...Only my opinion...
@BodyologyMassageSchool10 жыл бұрын
You are welcome! Check the response you have from client. Actually, the best you can do is find another massage therapist and try to have a feedback from him/her as clients don't always give most accurate feedback...

In my experience people just like being touched. Just be confident! Also, it doesn't hurt to communicate with your client. If something is bothering you it doesn't hurt to ask.

School sucks. Too tense for massage school must be relaxing atmosphere in order to be effective in producing next generation of great masseuses
@BodyologyMassageSchool4 жыл бұрын
I think somehow differently. We are not tense, but we are teaching, not a relaxing institution. Its not a spa but school. However, there are many other schools so you probably wont be our student, which is fine.
