For those thinking this is misleading due to the use of a Taylor guitar. TC Helicon and TC Electronic are related company's. TC Helicon has had this technology in their effects processor "Play Acoustic" for about a year now. Go check it out. There's plenty of demos with a bunch of different guitars. TC Electronic is geared more towards simplifying things for guitarists. (Think how the ditto looper changed the looping game.) Which is what they did here. They and TC Helicon make great products and do not mislead you. If they did they wouldn't be the respected company they are today. Keep making cool stuff Guys.

I've got one of these use it primarily on my Martin HD28 With a Fishman Neo-D02 humbucker pickup. For small venues I use a Peavey MINIX 10 American made bass amp, which is a hidden secret gem in itself. My sound comes out sweet, warm and as natural as Martin intended for a guitar. So for all the negative commenters, yep over two hundred shows with this and I've NEVER heard better acoustic tone from any setup. This isn't just for piezo but for acoustic instruments period. Nice Job TC Electronics, simple, great product and affordable for everyone.

Cool product, although it might have made more sense to use an acoustic with a piezo though. Taylor's ES pickup system doesn't use under the saddle piezo pickups -- the sensors are on the body and under the neck joint. Good to know it can still affect any pickup system beneficially. :)

Hi TC-E, I have a problem with my Bodyrez pedal... I'm hoping you could help me by figuring out what could be the problem so that I can try and tackle it! My Bodyrez pedal occasionally goes on and off continuously on its own... the red power light goes on and off constantly when this happens. While it does this my signal has this irritating clicking sound. Most often, there isn't an issue... this throws me off, because I figured that if there is an issue with the pedal it should happen all the time! My pedal is connected to an isolated power supply by Donner... and I have an LR Baggs, a Boss DD7, a TC Hall of Fame reverb and a Boss RC30 looper connected to the same isolated power supply... nothing happens to the other pedals when the Bodyrez blinks on and off and creates this clicking sound. When this happens, I detach the power supply to the Bodyrez but I leave the input and output cables connected and the signal flows through without a problem, but obviously without the Bodyrez magic. Please help!

I have a 1984 vintage Kinkade acoustic Jumbo 12 String cutaway. Still gorgeous after all these years. Had 2 acoustic pickups fitted last year maybe needs an enhancer. I don't use an EQ module so it's a direct dry sound. Have a ZOOM multi FX does the job. Say Hi to Johnny for me if you seem him sometimes.
@ArchimedesWoo7 жыл бұрын
I have not seen Johnny since I ordered my bass in 1994 as I was by that time an infrequent visitor to the UK at best. I have the honour of owning what I believe to be the only double bass ever made by him. He's a great luthier, and a really nice person. Should I ever return to Bristol I shall certainly visit him. I imagine your guitar is a beautiful example of his work. ;-)

Cool...I was wondering who owns the double bass. I remember them (The Kinkade Bros.) making it. I am English but live in Cologne, Germany.

Brilliant tool! While I'd still prefer to mic a acoustic for recording, that will sound incredible on stage! Best thing is rather then having to mic it live for a nicer realistic sound live, this basically solves any phasing issues a extra mic may cause and background noise being amplified from other people on stage. This is gonna be popular, or it should be anyway! haha

Not bad, but I'll stick with my Radial PZ-DI box. It makes ALL my acoustics sound fantastic because it's actually "made" for acoustic instruments. +Ian Whitfield I set the eq on the desk to get a good sound (i have the eq on my guitar at the mid point on everything). the bodyrez makes it sound fuller and warmer. I've got an old 1998 Taylor 714ce with the old fishman prefix blend system in it. It always sounded incredible before but I was blown away when I switched on the bodyrez. I didnt really think it would make a huge difference. It really did!

There have been some really great questions from commenters about the problems with demoing this product with the Taylor Expression System as opposed to a regular piezo undersaddle guitar. Instead of addressing these educated comments you have only replied to people who are praising this product based on a single, thus far seemingly misleading video. What's the deal?
@tcelectronic9 жыл бұрын
Richard Jensen It was designed for regular undersaddle pickups, so it'll of course work wonders on that. It's the same technology that can be found in TC-Helicon's Play Acoustic, which has been tested with several different acoustic guitars. Hope so guys! Someone from your technical support said something totally different: Your request (#214794) has been updated. Reply to this email or click the link below: support.tcelectronic.com/requests/214794 Risposta fornita da: Nicolas, 29 mar, 16:34: Dear Fabio, Bodyrez is designed to work with Piezo pickups. If you use a soundhole pickup, it is probably either a magnetic, or condenser microphone, and in both case it will not give good results. Best regards Nicolas
@tcelectronic8 жыл бұрын
F. Giobbe - It'll of course work best with Piezo pickups, since that's what it was specifically designed for. But you will still get a sonic improvement when using soundhole pickups. Although not as huge as with Piezos :)

Has anybody tried this on a nylon string? Wondering how it sounds compared to the AURA
@tcelectronic8 жыл бұрын
We've tried it. It's designed for western guitars and specifically piezo pickups, but it adds clarity and tone to classic guitars as well. Haven't tried the AURA, so I can't really tell you how they compare.
@taggtr688 жыл бұрын
I use the Body Rez on my nylon string guitar and it's phenomenal! Haven't used my Aura since. But I do want to try and incorporate the two together and see what happens. In very loud concert situations I do switch it to flip the phase to prevent the low end feedback. I like the 2 o'clock setting in normal gig settings, and the 3-4 o'clock setting when the phase is flipped over so I don't lose too much body.
