that's because the kick drum is triggered. there's no velocity. if you look at the box at the top of the kick drum rim on his foot side you'll see the trigger. essentially cheating since he can hit the drum loud or soft and the same sound will come out. also notice no mic on the kick drum. just saying

This is one of the best concert videos I’ve ever seen. Perfect sound, perfect performance, great stage presence. Damn. I just listened to this band’s full discography after seeing this. Trust me, you lucked out by not going. Bodysnatcher was amazing, but the festival itself was a disaster. It was extremely hot, had only one water station for 60k people, no shelter when it stormed, etc.
