I've been up that spur on both the caboose and the engine as a brakeman. That was back in 1968 though and we were moving 747 parts. It's crazy steep.

I'm curious as to why they shipped 737 fuselages to Everett when all 737's are assembled in Renton which is about 40 miles south.
@mrbreeze5556 Жыл бұрын
Everett is starting up a 737 line where the 747s used to be assembled.

I see these from time to time moving north through Colorado Springs.

These fuselages maybe came out of Q-ALTPTL in Seattle which drops it off

I heard the 737 fuselages are built in Wichita and shipped to WA for completion. Maybe I am misinformed. I saw some going north in Wyoming in 2012. UK railfan.

Wasn't there a derailment there a few years ago, a couple of fuselages ended up in a river?
@MrDgwphotos9 ай бұрын
That was on the Clark Fork river in Montana, and some of them had to be scrapped.

There is something sick about a country that has people that fire guns at those beautiful pieces of engineering, that requires reworking when they arrive.

This is the first caboose I've seen in a long time. Because of the long shove?
@mikeleahy573 Жыл бұрын
The only reason they use two BNSF locos is to push those steel flat cars and that caboose up the hill. The '37 cans weigh almost nothing.
@scottcates Жыл бұрын
That's unexpected. I thought 737 final assembly is in Renton.

Over the hills and through the woods- what is this,,1919? Plus tarps and duct tape. Every expense spared.
