Boeing 747 -206 Jumbo Jet PH-BUK KLM

📌Hi guys, in today's video we are going to show you this incredible KLM Boeing 747-206 that started its first flight in 1969 and its last flight was in 2003. Now you can visit the Aviodrome Museum here in Lelystad in the Netherlands.
An incredible plane I was amazed at the size of this plane that has a capacity for 452 passengers.
The cabin size is huge too.
This plane has two floors and I fell in love with it.

For those of you who are curious, back in 1975, Boeing began offering a stretched upper deck modification to some B747s. Japan Airlines had some -100 types modified that year, and KLM received the modifications to their -200 types in 1980. The kit was so popular that when production of the -300 type began, the SUD became the default, and it carried over into the ever popular -400 type. And of course, when the -8 type was developed, the hump was stretched even further. Given that most airlines retired and scrapped their older B747s, Papa Hotel Bravo Uniform Kilo (PH-BUK) is probably the only surviving B747 with this modification. As as you can see here, following its retirement in 2004, and with great difficulty and effort, it was ferried by barge to Lelystad where it now resides open to the public to this day.
